Hey how you guys doing? Well I live in Silver Spring maryland which is basically near Rockville, Germantown, Montgomery county, I270 area.
The thing is I know a couple mechanics but how many of them ever worked on marauders? I'd rather pay some one on the forums with experience with our cars at least for some of the mod's.

So if anyone here is experienced with our cars I'm willing to pay just give me an offer. Would prefer professional mechanics but feel free to let me know. If you even know of a reputable shop in the md/dc/va area please feel free to chirp in!

What I'm planning on buying asap.
Steeda UDP
Ford Racing 4:10 or 3:73. (not too sure yet but I am curious to offer)
PHP intake spacer(DIY mod?)

Would appreciate offers of labor for parts individually

Feel free to ask me any offers I'd like to get an idea and would also like to keep in touch with some experienced marauder-handyman!

You need to come out and meet the CAM gang at the annual Safford L-M car show in Burtonsville on 13 June 2009 (Saturday of Father's Day weekend, I think). There's a heads-up thread already in the CAM Forum on the dates. >>>>> http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=52236

Don't think that anyone is running 3.73 gears. Not that much of a difference over the stock 3.55 gears. Most folks that swap gears go with the 4.10 when they get the custom tune. Makes a big difference off the line.

You can always get a electric turbo charged supercharger from ebay.

Chris Vining (blown3.8) is the BEST local mechanic you will find hands down! Dont waste your time with anyone else.

Labor yes, The time waiting for the car to cool down is the most time consuming.

Its not a big deal with the right puller. Just make sure you get a new crank bolt. The bolt is a torque to yield so its really only to be torqued one time only. Im changing the front main seal in my car this weekend so I already picked one up from the dealer for $12.

Doesn't the crank bolt come with the steeda udps? or would i have to buy that also? THanks

Yes, and IIRC they supply a bolt that is a slightly different length.

Thats the installation bolt which is a little longer then the stock bolt. The supplied bolt will bottom out before the pulley is fully seated. Then you have to remove that and use the factory size bolt.
