Hey all,
I found a shop that does nothing but rear ends and quoted me the FRRP gears/install kit and a 3/36k warranty. Is that around avg price?
I have 110k; anything else I should consider since its out?

I guess it depends.
To separate things I pay $260 labor for a gear change.
The FRPP Ring and Pinon is about $170 (is it FRPP?)
They should use dinosaur oil for first 500 miles for breakin. Then drain and go Synthetic. (probably doesn't include this)
Is the shop also going to replace all seals and bearings? That's worth about $90 more.
$260 Labor
$90 bearings, seals
$170 FRPP ring and pinon, new crush
$15 gear oil.
about $535 is good if you are getting ALL of that stuff new.
The heavy S spring just puts more pre-load on the CF clutches and tears them up faster.

So if it tears them up faster why do so many people upgrade it?

Not sure. Perhaps they read it on the net.
Talking with DR's tech he has done hundreds of 8.8's and advised against using the heavy S. So I took his advice.
