G8 GXP meets Justbob

After two miles of his antagonizing i shut him DOWN! Thats right, me, the guy that always says "take it to the track" had enough last night coming home. Besides after not working for over a week and a half now one could say that i had a bit of aggression built up! The first light we rolled up on turned green while i had allready slowed to thirty (my baby's sweet spot!) I hammered it HARD to 55 sideways at first and i think that was all i had to do because now he was hanging back.

Was that enough? hells no! We come up to the next light and stopped. He hung by my rear bumper untill i signalled him to creep up, he rolls forward a couple feet and cracks his window, i say "new toy?" he says "yep" So i say "well lets see what your packin". So we both rolled to about ten or so punched it again! Bye bye G8!

I had no idea exactly what these were capable of and i really thought i had a tight run coming my way when i heard his 6.2 come alive! That thing sounded SWEET! But after reading up on them on Pontiacs site i see now they are only 415 HP and weigh 4050 pounds! Dang those are heavy, they don't look it in real life.

Also they only have a 3.27 gear vs. my 3.55, also i see they have a monster of a first gear at 4.03 vs. our 2.84, but they must lose ALOT of power hitting second with a 2.36.

This would explain why he hung at my back bumper for about ten feet and then i did nothing but pull away hard after that (while smoking the tires for the first 60 feet:D). But i will say this, that car sounded real nice and after doing some research on it, i can see where these things have some real potential with doing very little!

Also stock (with the right driver) they run a quarter in 13.4. Not shabby for four doors at around the price ours cost new.

Too bad its a Pontiac:(

Ran into a woman yesterday, talking to a couple about her silver GXP, I will say it looked great, and I took advantage of it being stationary at the gas station to take a closer look.

I butted in, asked the standard questions, like... how fast is it? She told me it had the Corvette engine in it and that basically, her car was "it" and then some. I replied that it was a nice car, but I was likeing my MM just a bit more, her response, "you mean the cab with chrome wheels":mad2:, seemed like a challenge to me, I offered her a nice fair race..... for titles, she declined, saying that she was afraid of the police, I up'd that offer by saying that we could do it at the local track, being how she was afraid and everything. Interesting how quick she decided to take a pass on going heads up with a "cab". Maybe she was afraid the meter would be running?

I only hope to see her on the road, it will most probably be the side of the road, being a GM and all.:flamer:

I can't race those. I am but a lowly NA Marauder.

I did get a thumbs up from an AMG Kompressor. I was in the left lane and saw him coming up fast. I floored it to get to a clearing to get out of his way. No openings. So I kept it floored, he statred to drop off, then he floored it and started to creep up again. I just kept it to the floor. Saw my opening and changed lanes. Loked down at the speedo and was pinned past 140. I slowed, he blew past and was grinning, probably wondering why this Grand Marquis looking thing was so damn fast.

Yes, an R/T:D he had it coming to him also! Also an SRT/8, let me tell you, they are a serious dog of the line just like ours are stock, the GXP even with 10 HP less has much more potential with a wicked first gear! But beware, performance parts for the dodge boys are allready out, two months ago I was at a light with a beautifull black SRT/8 and at first I was pissed I didn't have my car! I was driving the mommyvan thank god or I'd be writing about ME getting killed! When he pulled away from the light it made a certain whistle sound!:eek: With them at a 123 hp advantage out of the box, I garantee he would have slaughtered me.:(

I would not refer to it as a stoping, but last event at Byron had me lined up against an orange SRT-8 .
Turned out I raced one turn before he did.
His run was 13.2@104 mine was 13.1@100+

I thought that would be an awsome match up, Black & orange .

Everytime I see a Challenger... I give him the look... but they turn off the road. its all good though cause the know who the King is!!!!:banana2: I got word from Lidio about the " Trilogy 2" in the works. Ill have one this winter oh yeah!!!
