Oasis Needed

Morning everyone,

Was wondering if any of you fellow MM owners would mind running a OASIS for me on my newly acquired, but not so new, SVT Lightning.

Would be great to know what if any problems the previous owner had and how they were addressed.

OASIS shows no repair history on the vehicle.

Thanks for the quick response. Does the OASIS report tell what day the original 36/36 factory warranty went into effect. Be great if you could furnish me with that info.

OK, what is OASIS and how do I get information on my MM in the DB?

Bob,

OASIS is the main database used by Ford. It tracks the history of your vehicle via your VIN#.

All you need to do is PM chrtra1^^^your VIN# and he, or one of our other helpful FOMOCO folks can run your history for you.

I paraphrase my OASIS reports. All of the MMs and other Ford, Lincoln , and Mercury vehicles show this. I have no clue what it is for. Maybe it is for the Service dept's knowledge for some reason.

I just received a copy of mine and it states this as well. My car was in for several warranty related items and two oil changes at the dealership. So, why this shows up is beyond me.

When I go in for my next service, I will ask and see whether anyone knows the answer. Bottom line is I am not going to worry about it at this point.

I have also seen this stated in the "Warning Messages" area:
"Verify state registration, VIN may be eligble for California emmissions wty." This lets me know that the vehicle has CA emmissions.
