What is your Top Speed?

I got mine up to 136 before and it was still pulling. My car was 100% stock except for a Superchips tune at the time, to disable the top speed limiter. I still had the 3:55 gear too.

I know some of us have gone well past 140 and were able to keep track of it with a GPS or another car with a high speed meter.

I heard our cars can actually still go 160 with a 4:10 gear, can anyone confirm this? Heard it in KY. ;)

What was your top speed, your mods and what gear did you have?

P.S. if you ever do 136 or close to it, do not sneeze! :o

On actual pavement I've done 140+ racing a 300 SRT-8, on the dyno my car ran 149 mph with 3.55 gears 3rd gear to about 6100 rpms.

I recently ran out of speedometer long before I ran out of gear (3.55s)
The needle was pegged with the engine still pulling hard...
so I'm going to say 140+.

Yep, after 120-125 I started to pull away and when I took my foot off the gas he closed in quickly so I knew he was still on it. I guess at those speeds aerodynamics start to play a factor, wedge (MM) > rectangle (300).

i've never been past 125mph in my MM, limiter won't let it go any faster. Was able to get to 150mph in 300zx(twin turbo), don't want to go any faster after that one!

165 in the LT5'd ZR-1.

Motorcycle (2001 R1) I did 178 and ran out of balls.

Car (street) I was clocked doing 168 in a 55..... fun night. (96 Cobra)
Car (track) I hit the traps at 155... 9.83 run. (90 Mustang... built obviously).

I remember reading an article about "Virgil" doing 186 in his modified 2003 Marauder. He qualified his speed with his brother radar gun. Turns out, Virgil ives somewhere down South and has abrother who is a State Trooper.

I will never know if the story was true and don't care. I laugh to this day.

140 plus w/410s speedo was pegged, I'd say 150-155 takes a while to go from 120 to 150 but the car was as smooth and stable as can be. Hit 140 in a SHO too. Hit 85 in my 1970 442!

Did you beat the SRT? Ive had mine to 142 and decided that was fast enough for the area I was in. Wasnt even breathing hard at 142. 3.08 gear =200+ top end but the aero stops the 300 at 172. No limiter on the SRT. Even at that speed was as stable as driving 55, only difference you run up on slower traffic pretty quick

On the track I think I have hit 100-120. I did recently ride in a friends car and he hit 170 something, to say the least it was fast enough for me. Though I tend to describe his car more in terms of thrust and G's :)

Fastest I've had mine on a miles long straight stretch of road was 135 and it was still pulling. (4:10's and basically everything you can do and still call the car N/A.) I rode the center line so I didn't have to worry about the road camber. I don't know if it gets better as you go faster, but it just felt too light in the front end to me. I felt like I had very little control and didn't like that feeling in the wheel.

Our factory spoiler is pretty much useless IMO. I've seen little ricers that come stock with a better setup. The thing should be hugging the street more the faster you go, not floating. I'd be interested if there's anything I can do about that.

But the car loves higher speeds. If I could drive it at 95 MPH all the time my gas mileage would kick a$$.
