Has anyone pinpointed this problem? I searched, but there wasn't really an explanation when sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't work. I am assuming that something is going bad (That must be associated with the gurgling sound behind the radio).

Thanks Sid, how long did all of that take? What tools did you need?
Airborne is having the same issue his car is at the dealer now. I picked him up this morning.

how long did all of that take? What tools did you need? It's actually not as involved or complicated as it seems. Took me about an hour. Once you've done the first solenoid, the rest are quick and easy. All that's needed are simple hand tools...a couple of small sockets (I forget the sizes), needle-nose pliers, and a very small flat-blade screwdriver. Maybe a Phillips, too...

Mine does the same thing, replaced the O-rings and gained Vent back but on FLOOR it still comes out the defroster 80% and the rest comes the floor vents. FLOOR, FLOOR/DEFROST and DEFROST all do this 80%/20% crap. I'm pretty sure mine has to do something with a vacuum line but as long as I have air coming out the dash vents I'm good.

The O-ring swap fixed these same issues you have listed.
Took about an hour of time and $.04 worth of .007 size O-rings (4 of them).

Anyone got pics of what to remove from where?

Mine did the same about 2 months after trilogy install. After I changed all the o'rings on the solenoids the problem was still there. I decided to take a look behind the engine. I removed wipers and the black panel that comes so close to the engine you cannot see behind it. Anyway, as clear as day the trilogy EGR tube that goes around the back had been in contact with a vacuum line and melted it. One simple cut and minor adjustment solved the A/C through the floor and defrost!!! Hope this helps.

I am having the same problem with the defrost, and i dont understand what the vacuum is and the vacuum line. what color is it and how would i know if it is a problem with the line and not the o-rings?

Sounds like another O-Ring swap!
If anyone doesn't want to attempt it... I'm offering to do it for free (kinda).
If you want to ship the unit to me and pay for shipping back and send like $3 (for the O-Rings) I'll swap them out same day and ship it back out same day for free.

I took the sylenoids apart this morning. They are a little loose. What size are the o-rings?

Thanks for posting that cause I did the O-ring swap and didn't really help any. I will have to check the vacuum line near the EGR tube. After all the testing and replacing I've done I'm positive it's a vacuum line. Only problem has been tracing them down but I never knew about the one you mentioned.

At first mine was all defrost/floor after changing the O-rings and A/C check valve in the engine bay I got 100% vent back but floor, floor/defroster, defroster and auto all come out the defroster and floor.

Where is the a/c check valve??

I pulled mine apart this morning and all the lines were good so it has to be something else. I also disconnected the main vacuum line then reconnected it. With the ignition on all air came out the defroster vents, once I started the car air worked on Vents but was still the same for everything else.
The yellowish plastic piece is the A/C Check Valve, it's connected at the junction of the Brake booster vacuum line, whatever box is on top of the left fender hub and also the EATC unit.
The A/C Check Valve sits behind the trans dipstick towards the center of the car.

Just had my wacky a/c repaired. So far I've had wacky wipers, wacky headlights, wacky mirrors and now the wacky a/c syndrome. Cooled fine, just blew out winshield and footsie vents instead of dash vents. Every once in a while it would blow out dash for a few minutes to tease me then go back to chilling my feet.
Got both cars back under ESP now. Dealer replaced the Blend Door Actuator and the Control Head Assembly to fix my a/c. Good thing since we are about to get into our ten month summer here.
BIG Thanks to Dan for hooking me up with his ESP guy!
