alright to make this easier on us chicago guys :D

The 2nd Annual Grillin-n-Chillin Meet will be held on Sunday, JUNE 21st 2009! Last years event was a success with the exception of the RAIN....so, this year we have a shelter just in case. The location is nice and it is on a Sunday so we should get the majority/all of the 1st parking lot!!! There also is alcohol allowed for this event as well.

Food:
This can be done a few ways. everyone can bring their own crap and we can grill it up otherwise Tom and I will go shopping the morning before and pick up all the "grill" food and everyone can pitch some $$$ for it. Everyone is responsible for their own beverages and we could even do a "bring a dish to pass"!!! What is everyones thoughts?

Families:
This is a park, bring the family, there is plenty to do and a bathroom on site. Should be alot of fun for everyone. This is also being posted on Motor city Marauders Website as well as CVN. I will get a few more pictures of the location and get them posted up but this should get things started off!!! Hope everyone can make it. Last year was alot of fun.

last year was tons of fun and this year looks about 100 times better. we are having some great responses from other sites and i know you guys are not going to let me down :D

i think it would be awesome to convoy up there, we could set up a meeting spot and head from there

Guys, just one more small update. Zak(Not_Grandpas_Marquis) and I are gonna make a Sams club run and get a box of burgers and Hot dogs etc etc. By all means if you wanna throw something specific on the grill bring it along. I just wanted everyone to know there will be PLENTY of food.

Ok so I got a chance to head to Elkhorn today and meet up with Zak and check out the park in person. This meet is gonna be awesome.

Park highlights that we have access too.
Large covered shelter.
Basketball courts
Tennis Courts
Swimming pool(unknown if it costs anything to swim)
Baseball diamond.
2 very large parking lots.

Here are some more pics. When I left my house the weather was decent but when I got to Elkhorn it was raining so again I didn't get the most spectacular pics but I got what I could.

We are starting it at 10 AM. The shelter is reserved as ours till 5 pm technically but that does not mean they kick us out then. I am sure we will be there most of the day. Come on out after work. :)
