Any chance an 03 has a Torque Converter drain plug?

I'm going to put on a deep pan (+2qt) and wanted to get as much of the old oil out.

Gonna put in AMSOIL ATF.

Thx

I've had 4 of them and none had a drain plug.

Do you guys disconnect the trans oil lines and let the engine pump out the trans oil - so you can get most of it out?

I went to a shop that had a flush machine. First, they pulled the pan and drained the fluid. Then replaced the filter and pan. Then hooked up the machine so the converter and coolers get flushed.

How hard is it to take off the crossmember? (so I can get to the pan bolts)

I haven't really looked at it.

No need to drop the crossmember. It's easy.

The bolts at the back of the pan are a little hard to get off because the pan is so close to the crossmember. A 1/4" drive extension easily fits between the pan and crossmember.

It could be one of Darrin convertors.

The torque converter drain plug was decontented in late-2001 / early-2002.

Hey Joe. My car has a build date of 6/2002 - so I wasn't sure.

If I ever need a TC in the Future I'll get a CircleD I loved my last one.

(ordered it *with* drain plug)
