I get in my car this morning to hear to work, when I look out the windshield I see something odd on the hood. I get out, take a look... IT"S A BIG MUDDY SHOE PRINT!!! I look around some more, and I see the prints going up onto the roof, down the back window and across the trunk!!! Upon even closer inspection, I found that roof is all screwed up!! It's all crinkled and dimpled all over the place from this ashhole walking on my CLEAN car!! And I was just at the local body shop yesterday morning to estimates on repairing some older damage to the paint. NOW THIS!! Why on Earth would someone do this? I just don't understand! It's not like it's some rusty clunker abandoned somewhere. Anyway, I'll be out there taking pictures before it rains and washes the mud off so I have something to show the insurance company. I'm just so very, very angry. Seriously, everytime I get something nice, and either try to keep it nice or make it nicer, something like this always happens, whether it's vandalism, theft, or whatever else one can think of. Damn, I really need a garage all to myself...

Then do something about it. Neighbourhood Watch, community police office helping etc. If we only ***** and are outraged when something happens to us directly, we have only ourselves to blame.

The asshat who did that to your car should be made to pay reparations, and at LEAST 75 hours of community service. He's the kind of idiot who has nothing, so he values nothing. I'd be very pissed if that happened to my car, but I'd bet one of my neighbours, or their kids would know who did it.
That's actually happened in regards to a theft from auto in my driveway. Two of my neighbours' kids asked about it on the schoolyard, and some kid bragged about doing it. My neighbours' boys were just about suspended for beating the crap outta the kid. While I don't advocate the beating (much), just giving me the name would've been sufficient. Mysteriously, I found all the items stolen put on my porch a few days later.

Let this be an event that changes you positively for yourself and others; DO something about it.

Our neighborhood is typically quiet and uneventful. I think the last time there was any real crime committed was back somewhere in the early-mid 90's. Well, outside of my neighbor's grandson being a lame sack of drunken trash and having the cops knocking on their door because of him occasionally. I'm not sure that a neighborhood watch would have helped, only because I believe it occurred at a time of night when everone was sleeping.

We did have a problem recently with some kids constantly throwing their garbage into our yard over our fence as they strolled by (there's a bike path behind our back yard). Some attempts were made to track those hoodlums down but we kept losing them. It always took too long to get moving by time we realized they were there.

I get the same way, losing faith in humanity, but I remember I was an idiotic kid once too. Like the SEAL, you can be stronger by turning the other cheek, but taking the necessary legal steps.

I suspect I've had something not as bad but similar happen 3 times. Twice, I've returned to my formerly detailed car to find what might be crazy goose diarrhea, but I suspect was milk or a milkshake, over the length of the entire car. Needless to say, I didn't taste it to figure it out. Once, there was a very obvious and forceful deposit of human saliva on the driver's side window glass. These were all things I could wash off, but regardless I just signed a lease on a place with a garage, so hopefully this wont happen in the future.

Get the pics, with a ruler in the picture to measure the footprints. Call and ask your insurance company if there are any other pics they want. After you have those, get it cleaned and get pics of the trunk, roof, and hood damage. Stress to your insurance company that you have taken special care to keep the vehicle clean and minimize damage to the clear coat, and this vandalism is both body damage and paint damage, which have comprimised the resale value of your vehicle.

My wife was at CVS one day driving the Magruder, and she apparently was backing into a parking spot and a guy in a Chevy (no less) pickup truck honked at her from a neighboring parking space, fearing that she was going to hit his truck or something. She said she had plenty of room and she normally is a pretty good driver (how often does YOUR wife back into a space..LOL) Anyway, the guy started flailing his hands or something while she was still in the car but she went in CVS and when she came back out, the a**hole had poured a coke all over the passenger side of the car and was gone. Yeah - I was HOT about that. To this day when I go to CVS I look for half-beaten white Chevy pickups...

I told her she should have stayed in the car until he left but she thought everything was fine. At least there was no permanent damage, I was afraid sticky coke syrup would forver be streaking the windows from the felt, but some warm water got everything cleaned up.

Good luck catching the idiot that did that!

Oh, I'm hoping I can at least have #1 dealt with. If it works in my favor, maybe if there was damage done to the paint on the hood and trunk (that I can prove) I can have that and the old damage taken care of in one fell swoop. There were scratches on the hood and trunk when I got it, looks like they were used as temporary shelves. As for #2, I'd love to solve that with my previous post. Ever seen the end of the last Rambo movie? :D

I just took a report about 3 weeks ago from some people that watched a bunch of guys jump up and down on the hood of two of thier cars. They were able to follow the suspects to their residence and identify them when we arrived. It turned into a giant cluster ******, with 4 arrests for Minors with alcohol, a marijuana growing operation in the apt, aggravated batter to a police officer, battery, felony resisting arrest, criminal damage to property, and disorderly conduct. The kid that I ended up wrestling with was 5'8" 280 lbs and full of mean disposition. He did some serious damage to one of the cars. Last I heard he was still locked up in the county pending $50k bond. Me and that kid had a knock down drag out inside that apartment, he was dead set on not going to jail.

Some folks have absolutely no respect for anything at all. Maybe it is jealousy or maybe someone thought it was funny (Some of the crap that passes for humor anymore pretty much escapes me). But, I get the definite feeling that this was not a random vandalization. Sure seems like this was a targeted attacked and the dirtbag probably lives fairly close to you. Maybe he felt "dissed" by you on some other incident --- and probably somehow related to the MM. I sense some kinda of obtuse payback for a problem -- real or imagined by this azzhat. I wouldn't rule out the lame piece of drunken trash grandson next door.

Well, when I compared the size of the show print to the size of my shoe, whoever it was had considerably smaller feet than I do. The shoe print was only 10" long, maybe 11" at best. The ruler I used wasn't long enough to measure my whole shoe, which is only a size 11. There are some dips**ts in my neighborhood, but not many. This was probably one of their kids. As we all know, dips**ts breed more dips**ts. Of course, I try my very best to keep the car cleany and shiny, and of all the nice cars on the block, mine is the only one that isn't garage kept. So maybe because they felt like wrecking something nice, maybe they were bored and thought what they did was funny, or maybe they were one of the thousands of people who pissed me off by tailgating in a residential (causing me to slow down to 25mph... I was doing a respectable 30mph, but I guess 40mph isn't fast enough when there are kids walking to school nearby, and they're too busy talking on the phone while putting on makeup/shaving in the car because they're running late). I've actually had people try and pass me. I don't let them. They aren't fast enough. Minivans, Kias, and Acuras... Just no balls. So, I know I've irked my fair share of people, mostly by calling them on being douchebags. Too bad they aren't smart enough to understand.

As a side, there are quite a few kids in my neighborhood, and two gradeschools and a junior high within walking distance.

^^^ We know this all too well with our dogs. Personally, I think those knutsax got off easy, especially since the guy didn't catch them before the state smokies caught up. Well, people at work were stupid all day and wasted all of my time. I essentially got nothing done at all. And with the rain, the muddy prints are all washed off. Hey I feel you pain. Within the first three weeks of me owning my CVPI.
Someone spit on the hood of my car, while it was in the parking lot of my work.
It left all of these little spots form the saliva where it ate through the clear
coat. I was so mad:mad2:I would have beaten their ass, had I ever figured
out who it was.

A few years ago. my pickup truck had been egged by the
neighborhood brats, probably 5 times. The eggs shells actually scratched
the paint on my truck. It left on impact mark where it had been hit by the
egg. Fortunately, after many times of being egged i caught them in the act.
I chased after them for a few blocks. They got away in their Dodge Ram. I
haven't been egged since.

I have had people spit on my black MM and have had people pour sodas on a couple of my nice other cars before. But thats nothing compared to what you are dealing with. I hope ins. takes care of you and gets it fixed up

I had some similiar problems that I posted about awhile back. The kids at the apartment complex seem to like to play on or near my cars or the drunken residents or their guests even damaged it while trying to park next to me and didn't leave a note. They are now scratched, body damage, etc. Saving up for the body shop someday.

Very sorry to hear this.Hope you find out who the lowlife is and cut him off at the knees.Make him use a creeper to get around.I got my Marauder 2 weeks ago and some halfwit took touchup paint to the drivers door then put scratches on top above drivers door where I would notice both.There is only one person in area capable of this that has been known for such activity before and be forewarned. Detail shop was able to get the touchup paint off and improved scratches but will have to paint area for perfection.

This blows. I had the pleasure of watching a bunch of kuds do this outside my parents house to my car and my girlfriends car. They were parked one in front of the other. This was years ago. It was an 86 Escort and a 1990 Saab. Up the trunk-roof-hood-trunk-roof-hood onto the ground, like 3 of them doing it. I was watching TV with the front door to the house open, it was summer time.

I ran the pieces of **** down the street barefoot and got one of them. Brought them back to the house, my dad came out with our German Sheppard, cops came and one of the kids dads coughed up a few grand for the repairs to be made.

As you stated, there were dimples all over the place.
