Car Washes and Insults

I know that I will probably catch some flack on this – at least for a temporary lack of good judgment but here goes ….. :o

Yesterday was a nice day in the afternoon, it started to warm up and the sky was blue with big puffy white clouds. I decided to sneak out of work a little early and catch the local car wash before they closed at 6:00 PM. I just felt a little lazy. ;) I got there about 20 minutes before closing and asked for the VIP wash….. $21.95. I have used this place on occasion in the past with no problems whatsoever. Unfortunately, they have recently undergone a change or ownership and of on-site management. Not for the better.

After my car comes out and is lined up for the wipe down, I walked over to pop the trunk so that the tray could be wiped down. I notice that there are still spots all over the trunk lid, the hood and the roof. What a crappy wash. I was gonna have them run it back through the drive through to pick up what they missed on the first go around. The MM was dirty … but not THAT dirty. Then this exchange happened with one of the “employees”.

I pointed out the spots and dirty areas and the guy actually blames ME. He said that the car needed a good coat of “Wox”. I told him that the car had been “woxxed” 2 weeks ago. Then he proceeded to tell me that the car was not too shiney and that I didn’t do a good job. I was being insulted at the car wash. But what pissed me off most was that my Marauder, my baby was actually being insulted too. What a crock. After wiping down Honda Civics and Toyota Corollas all day, this guy decided to insult a real car. I took it VERY personally as if he just said my wife and all my kids were UGLY. :shake: Bastige.

I calmly told the azzhat to get the H3LL away from my car :mad2: and I jumped in and just took off. They have permanently lost a customer and any family and friends that might go there. I suspect that they are headed down the tubes before long.

My wife thinks that it is very funny that I get so upset about the car. She knows how I try to take care of it. This incident bothered me all last night. Sonsabiatches.

Tomorrow the MM gets a hand wash and a nice “wox” job. That’s what I should have done anyway.

I understand, i brought my car to hand wash only car wash. upon entering they vacumed car, washed wheels, and used the hand held jet spray. THEN I see them using long handle brushes to pre soak, before it entered. SO I asked not to use them the guy takes 1 and brings it towards me. Iam thinking now there going to wash me!
wants me to feel brush must admit it was extremely soft. must admit double hand wash does make a difference. +++ a good tip.. every thing is relative, people respond to "how strongly" u feel bout almost anything.. next time wax not wox

Just wait a couple of weeks. With their attitude they'll be under New Management again.

seriously when yu bring yur car in for a wash, they won't pay attention to detail unless yu watch. believe me I learned from watching the Women there all over everything, and usually the car is spotless..

Remember, wox on wox off! :-)
No worries, although I don't have a MM, I get anal about getting what I pay for at the car wash. I'm the PITA standing around pointing out the spots that were missed. lol
