Remember this?

Dealer calls it a "window run" and it is a large one piece unit that consists of all of the black trim/weather stripping running around the inside and outside of the window.

This needs to be replaced.

Anyone ever had this/done this before?

For me, the pucker factor is high on this. I want to take a picture of the area all around it and have them "enter it into the record" before the repairs begin. I fear a big potential mess here.

Any experiences to relate to me here?

We replace them all the time at our dealership. Not just on Gr. Marquis but Town Cars, Lincoln LS'S, and Continentals. It's a pretty routine job. Been doing them for 20 years. Don't fear it!!! RAY

had mine done when new. Not torn like yours but, there was a chunk missing from one of mine.

This problem was resovled by the dealer.

Wanted to get this resolved before getting the windows tinted so the tint wouldn't (potentially) get scratched up.
