Yesterday, Marauderman got to visit the Racing Shop of none other than Holman and Moody, here in Charlotte.

Ok--UNLIKE SOME WHO BRING UP THINGS WITHOUT PICS--I GOT THEM----PLENTY---SO HOLD ON…

…Actually, a close friend of mine, Howard Stafford, who knows Lee Holman, John's son, who now owns and runs the shop told Lee about my (Marauder) Red Line Beauty. Lee told my friend to tell me to bring it over for a viewing and for a shop visit. I washed Red Line up and we went for a visit. I was so excited--and here is why….

Holman and Moody , better known back in the racing era of ’50s has John Holman and Ralph Moody were highly known and regarded in the racing industry as one of if not the best in engine building and racing performance teams--this from the 50’s, 60’s and early 70’s for Ford Motor Co. ….This was the era I grew up in and really knew about these guys… a lot of older crew here my age may or will remember ….anyway--- I was excited--a going back in time kind of thing.

At the Shop got to see some REAL GT-40’s, some Fairlanes , T-Bird’s , a ‘56 and ‘57 that is suppose to be a real bad you know what! There’re suppose to be running it at Z-Max in the a couple weeks---can’t wait---

WOW--These guys really know engines---Visited the guys making cams and putting together engines for contracts for some European cars. Got to meet Jim Rose, a European who has been with them from the 50’--he is in a pic behind me while looking at his yellow Falcon he is rebuilding….saw some pics you would not believe from where he has hand build (restored) some cars to perfection. He is currently rebuilding a Ford Falcon----and has done several V-12’s also - WOW-

Hummmmm…..yeah….great to get to meet these guys---wonder what they could do more for my Red Line……hummmmm--wow--if you could only see some of their engine work in the shop---drool---

I loved it all from his 5th wheel trailer--(You’ll see it in the pics) carries two(2) GT-40’s to race tracks-- to the showroom and conference room with all the older pictures and car stuff--

Anyway we took a lot of pics--which of course don’t do the shop justice---its much better in person as you would expect-- and I will attempt to provide them for all to see. I will try and provide a comment on them as well. E N J O Y….

They are in the Storyboard Forum under same title-- Have a look see--
