Rock came out of nowhere and put a pinhead-sized chip in the windshield. Any fixes for that? Any miracle products?

TIA!

There are people who repair chips in glass. We have a guy that comes to our dealership and does used cars. Contact a glass shop in your area and ask them about it. Or try your dealer. RAY

I don't know how it works in GA. But if you get a chip in your windshield or a crack get it replaced...insurance covers it no problem...I believe it is a state law in FLA.....

Your insurance can replace it. But remember it counts as a claim. Some companies drop you with 3 claims within a certain time frame. Plus no one installs a windshield like the factory. IMHO.

I covered two bullseyes on mine with a kit...all gone!
I have one on the LS I need to do before it get's too cold.

Chips are inevitable in the Cleveland area as the DOT does not enforce covers on dump trucks or semi's hauling stone and such.

The kits work great on bullseyes but not plain chips.

Good-Luck

www.eastwoodco.com sells a ship repair kit:

Windshield Repair Kit

Item No. - 40008
Repair Windshield Chips - Most stone chips and small breaks only penetrate the outer layer of the windshield. This kit repairs them with a unique resin that actually penetrates under the glass surface. Not for use on radiating cracks. Instructions included.
