I have a set of 4 "Rotor Pros" drilled, slotted, and cad plated rotors. You can have them for free for pickup, or free plus cost of actual shipping. These rotors have 10,000 miles on them, all highway cruising, no auto-x or anything like that. They have no grooving and show little sign of use.
Here's the deal. I bought these from Rotor Pro's on ebay. They were over $200 + shipping, which is higher priced for the drilled/slotted stuff on ebay. I intentionally did not buy the cheaper sets.
When I got the rotors, you could see the ghost of a part # under the cad plating. I did some research and found what company made the cores, and called up their engineering dept. The part # told them it was one of Centric Parts "C-Tek" line of rotors, which are a typical chinese budget rotor (basically your low-line auto parts store type stuff). Centric told me that they sell them to 3rd parties who sometimes CNC machine them and sell them on ebay as drilled/slotted.
Basically all of your cheaper drilled/slotted rotors are made like this. But I wanted to know for sure where they came from.
I have decided that I don't like the idea of running on these brakes now that I can afford something better, so I am offering them up here.
Understand that I put 10,000 miles on them with no problems and they have a whole ton of life left on these brakes. If you drive like I do, you can easily get 30, maybe 40,000 more miles on them.
I just want to buy a set of rotors that I know for sure where they came from.
