Will 255/55/18 fit all four corners and not scrub?

I don't know about the front end, but they work well as rear tires.

What size are you running on the front with the 255 on rear? I sort of wanted to be able to rotate still but no more 245's...

Nope. Just a bit too tall.

Tried a set on the front at the tire shop, and they rub at full lock.

What size are people running that still rotate all four?

Don't think that I have ever heard of anyone here running the 255/55s up front. :dunno: By my calcs, they are about 1" wider and 2" taller than the OEM front 235/50s.

However, I have them on the rear with 235/50s up front.

Back in 2004 you used to be able to get our 245/55/18 BFG's at tire rack for as low as $82. I remember someone in Cali running the stock rears on all 4 corners so he could rotate tires and it worked fine. the 255's will be just a tad to big though.

If you have an '04, traction control will go bonkers.

True. His was a 300A.

I bought 8 of the 245's at $82 and run them on all four corners with no problems but have gone though them and its tire buying time again. I was just trying to keep my rotation in play with the new sizes avaiable. I was wondering if anyone was running the 255's on all four. I have a 300A so no problems running same size.

I have also seen someone else run the 235/50/18's on all 4 corners, but they look a tad small on the car.

I can't wait for stockers, I destroyed what was left of my rear tires at Union Grove last Wednesday.

I just ordered a set of Falken Ziex S/TZ01 (255/55/18's and 235/50/18's)
run $494.20 plus shipping from tires-easy.com for the wife's DTR.

I agree the 235's looked a little too small from the factory. The 245's look just right but a 255 might be my only option for all four. :burnout:

That is the price range I've been looking at.
How about 255/55/18 Rear & 245/45/18 front, with that size mix will it screw with T/C and ABS?

I know I am tired of looking at tires...
I am stuck between Falkens, Nittos, Nexens and Hankooks...

That tires-easy.com site is pretty cool too...thanks

Unfortunately, that tire is not offered in a 245. (at least not that I have been able to find.)

I would be very wary of the Hankooks. If I remember correctly, they caused the early demise of Wes's DTR.

Yeah, I remember that too... Stay away from the Hankooks, if for no other reason than the fact that they had something to do with the death of a MM...

I found a deal on Dunlops for the rear 255 55 18 z rated for a hundo ea.
And the fronts had a special too for 235 50 18 size different model tire for super cheap, 60 sumthing each.
BUT!, They have none locally in wharehouses.
I ordered two BFGs fronts from Tire rack, for less than 240 shipped.

Twin03 told me he had Dunlops on his car...i went to the website and they were selling them for 4-500 A TIRE! :stupid: I had to look around the site a few times to make sure it was right...I clicked on 4 of those 400 dollar tires and YES...1600 dollars showed up. I was pretty sure he didnt spend 400 a tire for his, so I am glad you saw those...SO now I am stuck between Falkens, Dunlops, Nittos and Nexens.
