I am thinking of getting MT but not sure on size. Trying to help my 60 foot. My car is na. With 2800 stall 4.10 gear, stainless long tube to 2 1/2 cat back exhaust, and tune. My 60 foot is at the 2.12 with 255/55r18 street tires at 24psi.

I have found the 305/45/r18 or 295/45r17 or 295/50r16 all about the same. I under stand the 1 inch in OD. I will need to buy wheels also that is the reason for asking.

Thank you for your help and thoughts.

Using the 26 inch MT ETs the best I had was 1.95 Russ. The new tires are 28 inches tall. Its your call! Best ET was 13.51.:burnout:

these numbers make me worry about going to DRs, I did a 1.85 on non DR nittos before the headers and a 1.95 after

RR I did just as good with the sreet tires. The biggest gain was consistency with the DR. The MPH went down by 2 with the 26 inch tire over the 28 also.

I wonder if you were spinning your tires as the 60 foot slowed down. Was anyone with you who could watch?

265/40/18 MT et streets

This is what i run on.

If your problem is traction then these WILL solve it! Out of 8 runs on these i only broke traction once. I preload it to 2000 and dump it aallllll the way to the floor and take off like a ballistic missle! Even thow they look retarded being 26" tall they will alter your effective gear ratio on yours to about 4.30 plus they fit nicely on our stock rims.

Also my times were before my metco's and j-mod. Only out of the box Trilogy, stock gear, and no CAI.

The 265/40r18 is the size my tire guy came up with also. (discount) He was told by MT that the 305/45r18 would be to wide at 11.5. I am still looking for other that are running mt et street radial II.
