Hey..anyone know why my headlights go out..then come back on ...and then go back out after about 3 minutes...then come back on? I've been driving with the highbeams + the regular beams on at the same time in certain areas where the deer hang out...so..in other words..i take the light lever..and pull it in to the steering wheel to get maximum light out there...
I wonder if i have fried something....or do i just need new lights?

Sounds like the LCM (lighting control module). Its the box under the drivers knee bolster, above the throttle. Look up there and identify it. Next time you're driving and the lights go off - smack it with your hand and see if they come back on. It's been covered in tons of threads and posts. Use the search function for repair of the headlight relay that seems to always go bad. Don't drive with hi and low on at the same time, the headlights are not made to handle that kind of amperage and heat - you're asking for a fire. Don't sweat this - it's a common and easy fix!

There is a relay that goes bad on the LCM. If you are under ESP the dealer will replace the whole LCM, otherwise search for LCM or Lighting Control Module here on mm.net and find the DIY swap out the relay writeup.

Of course, my dealership replaced the Multi Function Switch (turn signal stalk) and the headligh switch first, even though I told them I suspected the LCM.
