...gas gauge? WTF? I reset my trip meter at every fill-up, and I went 260 miles without using a drop of gas according to my gauge. No fueses listed in the manual, and I checked all the wiring. What gives? Guess it's time to see if the dealer can spot that chip or not...

when i was a kid (not too long ago) we used to have this crazy neighbor. His name was Mr. Beihl. He used to call my parents whenever me and my brother climbed on top of our [house] roof. I used to try to get him [my brother, not Mr. Beihl] to jump off the roof holding an umbrella....

anyway.....

we used to put gas from our snowblower into his gas tank at night to drive him crazy. He would think he was getting great mileage. Then when a big snowstorm hit we would siphon it out [i made my brother suck on the hose to prime it]. It was fun playing tricks on old Mr. Beihl. This was during the early 70's and the gas shortages.

A year later we discovered that he was a retired railroad desinger and had, in his basement a complete track about 30 feet by 20 feet. You could sit in the middle of it and control all the trains, lights, etc. After he let us in on what he had hidden in his basement and let us down there, we stopped playing gas tricks on him.

so my question to you LML is..... how do you treat the neighbor boys?? If you have a good relationship with them, take your car to the dealer, otherwise, let them play with Sammy and buy them some ice cream.

it's that new sway bar you installed.......

keeps my brain from getting scrambled on turns at high speeds. Now, thinking clearly all the time, my wit is able to flourish and is not subject to a 'reset' every time I drive the car.

Right... Very interesting story... You sure you're not like a distant cousin of mine or something? Sounds like the antics my Dad used to play as a kid.

I TRY to dodge the skater punks in my neighborhood... TRY being the key word... :D As far as "playing" with Sammy... well... all I can say to that is Sammy don't play nice, so I'd probably end up with a TPed car or something if I did do that.

Everyone's just SO informative today, eh? :shake::help:

My dad had a 58 Ford that when the gauge said F it was empty and when it showed E it was full. Somehow the float got turned upside down in the tank. Could this still happen with todays electronic laden vehicles.
