If anyone finds a factory MM tire stem cap somewhere on US 59 between Houston and Lufkin, please return it to me! When I realized I had lost it, I called my LM parts man and asked about a replacement. He checked and said $24.00. I said, "Well, that's not too bad for a set of four." He said,"No, that's just for ONE." A hundred bucks for a set of these caps!? Where can I find some nice dice caps instead?

The caps are not available seperately, you must buy the entire valve stem from a dealer. That's why it's so expensive. Go to any auto store and buy them for about $3.00. RAY

I had 4 tires replace on my GM a few years back and the shop put on chrome steams and caps. Every time I’d turn around someone was stealing my chrome caps! :censor: :depress: My Barber also had chrome caps and he used a wrench to put them on as tight as possible, he also got tried of buying new caps! :mad2: So far with the Marauder nobody has touch them (knock on wood).

Don't even think about it Ross or Mikeenh!

Things are really getting bad when they can steal the caps off Marauders on the highway.

Police arrested three juveniles accused of stealing valve stem caps from the tires of motor vehicles. Police said patrolman Peter Kozlowski noticed the three juveniles ducking behind parked cars at the Sam’s Club parking lot at Route 18 and Tices Lane. He confronted the youths and found 51 valve caps, which are reported to be valued at $3 each, according to police. All three suspects are 14 years old and are from South River. Kozlowski was working a security detail at Sam’s Club when he noticed the youths. All were charged with theft and released to their parents.

I bought a set of chrome ones at a local auto parts store (Strauss) for less than $2.00. Stored the originals.
