I ordered 2 rear tires last week, and was told they are out of stock for 6-8 weeks tonight. I remember a thread that had a name and telephone number at BFG when they were on allocation last time. If someone can supply that or the thread it would be appreciated.

IMHO. Don't waste your time with BFG. Switch over to one of the other brands and put 255/55/18s on the rear. No problem with TC or ABS. I picked the GoodYear Eagle F1 DS-G3; but Nitto, Falken, Nexxen, and several other manufacturers offer that size.
If and when BFG stops hoarding the 245/55/18 for the new Camaro production line, they might let us have a few. Personally, I am PO'd at BFG because they never have been able to keep up with our rear tire demand.
PS -- there are about 1,000 other threads on this topic. You must have missed them.

Do yourself a favor and switch to aftermarket rear tires. The OEM BFGs are crap, and you won't get anywhere giving them a call, others have tried and failed.

You can get Kumho Ecsta SPT's in matching set of 235/50/18 fronts and 245/50/18 rears. No mix and match and no truck tires. 255/55 is getting really chunky for me and I already think the tires are staggered too much from the factory. That's what I'm going to buy shortly, if I don't run the 245/50/18 all the way around (might so I can rotate). I got about 10,000 miles on my front replacement KDW's, wearing evenly, just from normal mildly aggressive driving. They are sooo soft

Because I use my car for work, the company will pay for my tires if I get them at Costco. So, I need BFG's.
All the old threads dating back father than August are gone.
I have gotten over 27000 miles from the latest set of tires. After only getting about 16M from the pevious tires, I am very happy with them.

Anyone have any pics of the 255/55s on their car? Are they beefier?

Here's a pic of mine with the 255/55/18 on the rear. Don't know if that pics gives the perspective that you want; but the tires are "beefier". About 1/2 inch wider and about 1/2 inch taller than the stock 245/55/18s.

Called BFG today. They told me tires will be available in June.
But they can't give a specific date - that means it could be at the end of June, another 7-8 weeks.

BFG gets loads of free press online from this entire community. What kind of asshat would not at least appreciate that the slightest bit? We have to buy somebody else's tires out of necessity instead of choice. I realize only 11,052 Marauders were built (plus 238,911 clones) but with most of us getting 3,000 miles to a set of tires - you'd think BFG would be THRILLED at the prospect of selling tires at an alarming rate. The amount of tires we collectively go through MORE than justifies the production expenses. I am now trying to go 235/50 and 255/50 respectively. So far no luck matching front and rear tires. The ONLY thing that keeps me out of the smoke is lack of rear tire availability.

What leads you to that conclusion? In the whole scheme of things, OEM replacement tires for MMs is a minimal production run for BFG, probably a micro-percentage of their total annual volume. Set-up and tire mold cleaning costs probably outweigh potential profit on what BFG makes on these tires.
