View Full Version : My first runs ever!!!

Saturday I made my first ever runs at the strip. I went out to Pittsburgh Raceway on Saturday and decided to make a few runs.
My first was a 15.78 @ 87, second was 15.73 @ 87, and third was a 15.73 @86.

You can't get any more consistent than that. Especially first time out. What do you have done?

You know what sucks though? Its seeing the other guys time before you finish. I never liked that, but it happens.

Yeah that dodge was pretty quick. I knew, when we lined up that I was a goner, but no clue that he was going to run 11's @ 116 MPH!!!

Yeah, I kind of surprised myself too on the consistency.
Other than the exterior mods., I have a ported plenum, Aviator throttle body, '04 CVPI Zip tube, Marauder MAF and air box, and a 3:73 posi, installed and tuned by Lidio @ Alternative.

Bigger exhaust and some cams would get you into the mid to low 14's. One of the local CV owners here has a MZT/3.73LSD/Full exhaust + Kooks on his 04 sport and ran a 14.2 at E town, on street tires.

Next time if you can, avoid the water box. I dont know why they have it blocked off in the pic, its pretty stupid if you cant avoid it. Englishtown will get angry at you if you go through the waterbox on DR's or street tires since it carries water out onto the track.
