Hello all,

First time poster. Great site.

We are fostering three kids, probably to adopt very soon. I have to trade the old 4Runner for a new car so the wife will feel safe hauling the kids in the second car. I am getting a Marauder either very soon or after the first of the year. I am heartbroken, of course.

:)

Ford is offering 60 months 0% financing on the 2003, and 36 months 0% on the 2004. Since it is free money, I would like to go for the 60 months, but am more concerned about getting the right car.

What are the relative advantages of the 2003 vs the 2004 models? Anything I should watch out for? I have located both 2003 and 2004 models in my area.

Thanks,

Jack

nothing about the 2004(sorry) but it's common knowledge that among the 2003's the earlier ones(the 300A) came without traction control(and I hate traction control) but the later ones(the 300B) came with heated seats(if that really matters to you). But i don't know how easy it would be to find any of the earlier ones(300A). I'm sure there's still some around though. But anyway if you hate the T/C like I do, then just keep in mind that the T/C on the 300B can be turned off every time you get into the car w/a flick of a switch. I've heard that the 2004's will be equiped w/a slightly beefed up Transmission, but I'm just going by what I've heard. I hope atleast some of this has helped you.

Jack - Welcome to the site. If my memory serves me correct Logan the owner of the great site is your neighbor. There are probably very few 2003's left. Go with the one that fits your needs. The Marauder is a great vehicle, you won't be disappointed. Good luck on your purchase.:up:

Thanks for the info. I will research the b vs a. Heated seats not really necessary in Tx, since our seats are heated naturally most of the time. Just a good reason to get the dark tint job and the supercharger. Well, the tint job at least.

Oradba... Jeeez, What are the chances of another Oracle DBA living in my same hometown?? Welcome!! :D

I'm up on Morriss and College... I've got my Black 300A in the garage.. You should come visit.

I can also hook you up with a new marauder for about $26.5k locally. Just name your color and options...

Logan,

For that price are we talking about an '03 or '04. An '04 at that price might be worth a trip Texas.

What! Another Oracle DBA in Dallas! There ain't room enough in this town for both of us! Good thing my main servers are in Scottsdale or else I would have to call you out.

;) Select "just kidding" from dual;

Thanks for the offer, but I already have a hookup - my father in law is a retired Ford exec and he can get me the Z plan - car at dealer cost, all offers still apply. I've found four 2003's around the area that I am considering since Ford is offering a 0% for 60 months. Flying to Austin tomorrow to retrieve the 4runner for the swap. Might have to have a sick day next week. :)

How do you like those 4.30's? Where did you get them done?
