Well, if I shot at about 10 feet from the car (as an example), the depth of field would have only been about 3.5 inches with the lens wide open at f1.2.

If you stop the lens down, it's not so much a problem, but the results just aren't the same. I do get several rejects on a shoot, but I feel like it's worth the risk because of the potential results. It just about kills me when I have to take this lens off the body, and shoot with something else. :(
