Here are some pics from my adventures with the Carolina Marauders at the 2009 FOAC show at Young Ford in Charlotte, NC.
We'll start with Friday's pics. Fastblack came to my place to detail his car and keep me company while I detailed mine.

I think this is a pretty good shine for a $600 Maaco paint job (with a fresh coat of Maguires wax)!

Bravo Fastblack!

Not too shabby!

And a quick shout-out to my hommies at CrownVic.net (with the gorgeous Marauder in the background).

Part 2: The dinner!
After a dinner at Quaker Steak and Lube, we went to the parking lot of the BJs Discount Center and had a quick photo op.

And this is my favorite night picture I took...this is Marauderman's "Red Line Beauty". This thing is just evil to see in person!

Not bad for 10 years old and 170k miles if I do say so myself.

Damn whacker hahaha. Actually, everything in this picture is a factory option (except the light). The guy had papers laid out to prove that this '76 Turino had the "Starsky And Hutch TV Package".

This guy was a real whacker though. He even had the "Police Interceptor" badge on the trunk.

THIS IS THE MOST AMAZING MUSTANG I'VE EVER SEEN! It's a one-off built by the Holman Moody shop. They built it to try and convince Ford to make a limited run of it...Ford said no.

I don't know where to post our car show stuff. It's mostly pictures, so I put them in the photography forum. Admins, if you think all that stuff is better moved to here, feel free to do so.
Anyways...pics and some captions are here: http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?p=750589#post75 0589
Let me start a flame fest by saying that Marauderman is ghey! We went to Quaker Steak last night, but then found out that it was naughty school girl night at Iron Thunder Cafe! :mad2: Sheesh Tom! :flamer:
Also, thanks alot to Fastblack for loaning me some cleaning supplies so I could make my car not look like it's 10 years old with 170k miles. And thanks to Tom for spotting me some cash for lunch, lol.

We got Lee Holman to autograph those trophies which btw were from Rousch/Yates Racing. Each piston had been in a cup, sprint, circle track or truck race.

Yeah, as an FYI, Lee Holman was part of the award ceremonies, and he handed out all the trophies, so getting his autograph was something special.
Lotsa great cars and a nice (if somewhat HOT) day for a show.
I'll post up pices when I get home tomorrow and can get them downloaded off my camera.

Great job guys. I am really sorry that I could not make it, but it has been about 4 years since the Fam came down to see us. Looks like another clean sweep for the crew. great job! and love those trophies! The pictures are amazing thanks for posting.
Any beer that is cold, open, and full is my favorite. Just in case the question arises again. :)
I am truly bumming over missing this event. Any plans for a get together before October?

......as Hotrauader once said......you have to follow along with my whole wording.........including the dots...........pausing as it is meant to be........the "it " means exactly what it says.............he actually said that to me once --but he also said he had to re-read it to figure it out--but that was after a few beers-=--......keep up the dashes as it helps peoples pause and read along better............matter of fact==he said once you talk that way......in person..ya know-
