After realizing what my Caroliona Marauder member 03MMMonroe found wrong with by brakes I need to pass it along to all as you too may want to check on yours----its easy.
First Off -- The Problem
I was experiencing some very hard wacko brake feel just after going about 4 miles each time out from a cold engine start and then right after that the ABS Yellow trouble light would come on and stay on.
Research tells us that this means the the ABS may not work or be working if needed when in this state of condition.....not a good feeling.......but you still have braking capabilities.
The Fix
Pulled the wheels off, starting with the rear and found the Right ABS senor had fallen out of its connector slot...the bolt holding it in place apparently vibrated out . Now it is magnetic and it still fell out--so thru braking or other use caused this.... anyway re-inserted and replaced with correct bolt and some lock tight....Boom! FIXED......
We checked the other rear wheel and found the bolt also had fallen out but the senor was still in the slot ---so it could fall out with any sever braking or vibration later ...so once again a new bolt and its is fixed.
So, you all might want to take a look next time your wheels are off or do it now.....I was really thinking the worst but fortunately it turned out with a simple fix.
