Based on SergntMac's good advice I went out and bought a Garmin StreetPilot III. Man, I love this thing!

Also based on SergntMac's advice I went to www.pro-fit-intl.com (http://www.pro-fit-intl.com) and ordered the mount and swivel base. The cost for the mounts with shipping ran just over 50 bucks. I also bought Garmins remote antenna kit which cost 114.99 shipped. A necessity if you are going to mount this GPS away from the windshield, the stock stubby antenna won't read very well when mounted lower.

I went to my local Car Toys store, just looking around really, I saw the Garmin SP3 for $799.99. Suddenly, I remembered something SergntMac had said in a previous post. I asked the salesman, "Will you beat another stores price?" He said they would match it, hmm, ok,.. that'll do. I told him I saw the SP3 for $674.95 at www.gpscity.com (http://www.gpscity.com/gps/brados/4868.2.23297903991964164013/sp3dlx.html) So, he checked it out, a few minutes later I walked out with it! woo-hoo!

I've been thinking about the Nav module for my Pioneer head unit, it's about the same price...

There's a complete head unit for the aviator with integral GPS and display. I'm trying to find out if it will fit our dash, but no luck so far.
