15.2@93
awwwwh yeah! time for a sig!
i was only expecting a 15.3 but i'll take it!
my previous best was a sluggish 15.6.

now that i know i can max out stock perforamce i can start modding and get the best out of that...in theroy anyways. heh

so for another $2000-$2500 we can only get .5-1 sec or so off our times? man, i was thinking these mods were doing alot better than that. I'm thinking of the stage 1 with the headers, etc..

well marauder2306 has just the stage 1 and ran a 14.2...so thats -1 second for ~$600

then the mongoose ran a 13.7. thats another .5. i'm sure he'll go faster with the colder air, more experience, etc.

is this a bad cost to speed ratio? beats me, this is my first car that i could buy mods for but getting a 2 ton beast into the 13s seems pretty good to me at that cost.

none of this mentions the superchargeing either.

man this is what I like about the Marauders, you guys got it so much better than us Crown Vic guys... my $5000 on major mod components for my stock 110k ex-Police cruiser cut 2 full seconds off my quarter mile time... so the cost/benefit ratio is up there...

I am however ready to give this thing up and pick up a Marauder to play with! If only I had a job to pay for this fantasy.

Fats,
Way to go buddy. You'll be in the 14's in no time.

Darebren,
I hate break your heart but taking a 1 second of an ET with minor mods is pretty darn impressive to anyone who is familiar to the drag strip. This isn't the only car that can do it but it is our car. Go to follow some other forums and see how much trouble they have lowering ET's with "sports cars". Im just read an article on moded 350z's an despite there weight advantage there moded cars car can't touch ours. Interesting huh. I saw a CL600 mercedes at the track the other night. V-12 w/ twin turbos (est $140,000) and a chip ($6,000) turned a 10.7 quarter mile. I'll take our bang for the buck anytime.
