Going in Monday for service... 7 months old, and oil coming from the differential cover. Anyone else with rear axle leaks? This isn't just a drip in the driveway, it's a puddle...GRRR!!!

The only time I see the cover leaking is if someone jacked up the car by the differential. The jack dimples the cover and then they leak. If the dealer finds that the cover was dimpled due to a jacking incident, they may charge you for the repair.
A more common leak is from the pinion seal which will leak from the front of the differential housing and off the bottom of the cover.

Well, I couldn't honestly say where the oil is coming from, it's everywhere, but the only people to ever touch this car were the dealer's mechanics. I'm somewhat mechanically "reclined", I don't touch cars except to drive them ;)

It could be the pinion seal. The seepage from the faulty seal could drip down to the cover.

He shoots, he scores!!! MM returned from Suburban Ford, pinion seal replaced. Man, after some of the horror stories I've heard about some dealerships, I felt I'd give credit where it's due.
Suburban Ford Service Dept Rocks!!!
Of course, I already knew that. Those guys jumped through hoops with my old SHO...

Faulty?
Punished perhaps, but not faulty. I want a refund.
I want your .02c back!
