Jason the Atlanta certified Ford master mechanic and expert electrical wizard of MMs installed my MDS Launch Master 2 Stage this weekend - see attached pictures. He did an outstanding job as usual - it looks like a OEM Ford install. The MSD LM is installed on the metal angle bracket used previously for the line lock install. The truely remarkable part of the install is that Jason did not use the MSD supplied wiring harness - a large bundle of wires and 12 FI connectors. He wired into the PCM wiring connector at the fire wall next to and underneath the MSD box. The result is a very clean and transparent installation. Thanks to Chris and the Shermanator for starting me down this road with the LM. They lead the way. Now there are two MMs with the LM.

Jason also installed the MM Concepts LEDS lights - very nice touch as well as the fog light/HB jumper install and new Infinity front door speakers - awesome sound. The Rolling Stones now sound like I am at one of their concerts. (Sorry, young'ns they were a popular rock group in the 60s and 70s.)

I hope to break into the 11.8s with the LM. I cannot add any more HP even though it would not be difficult, but the stock internals will not hold up to over 450 HP. So my solution is to improve my current 1.59 60' times to reduce my et. Every 0.1 sec reduced at launch improves the et by 0.2 seconds.

Yes, the PN is #8734 - MSD 2-Step Launch Control for Ford modular engines.

Nate: I did not know you were using a LM. Did you use the MSD supplied wire harness with your Trilogy?

The pictures look OK now?

Still know pic of yours coming up. Also yes I used the supplied wiring if I ever need to disconnect it. Install was done by yours truly. It's real clean install with all the wires. I will take some pics for you later on today. Also in CAM land we just refer to it as the infamous "2step". Oh yea set yours for 2000rpm alot of us found that to be the sweet spot for our cars.

I finally was able to do a test run(s) with the MM and the MSD LM. I had car repair weekend with fixing the son's AC leak and replacing his radiator and then on to replace a COP on my F150 tow truck. But, I got a few minutes to play with the LM and I am very pleased with the results. It works as advertised - thanks again Chris and Sherman for posting on this track mod.

I expect to see some nice improvements in my launch times which will really help the et. My goal is to continue to improve my ets down to the level of a forged MM engine (11.7s) without exceeding 450 HP which is the danger zone for stock internals. I also checked my posi rear with the recent Cobra clutch rebuild (3rd rebuilt rear) and F150 "S" spring. The posi laid down two very thick rubber on both sides - very pleased.

Now things are good to go for the South East Drag Day at Silver $ in two weeks. This will be an unusal contest between an olde man's 4 door sedan and the ricer community of South GA. It will be a fun day for Chris and me. I will hopefully be in the top 8 (out of 100 entries). There are several tough competitors with TT (twin tubros). An unusal event for me, but should be fun. I welcome any MM or Mark VIII (Mike) to join me in the contest and help with the 100 to 1 odds.
