It seems that Marauders are getting quicker as the engine brakes in.
What were your 1/8 mile times as well as your 60 foot times?

My 60 ft was 2.284
My R/T was .969 (don't laugh that was my best R/T of the day!)
My timeslip doesnt list the 1/8th mile ET or MPH.

It sounds like 4100 lbs of hauling a@@ !!!!! I'm curious to know, how many miles on your odometer??? I wonder if the mods (chip & gears) will get you under 14. Congratulations strong run ! :D

Sorry to have missed it Tetsu! Thanks for putting it together.
I highly doubt any Marauder with just gears and a chip will run 13 seconds.
Tetsu,
With good practice at the track, you can lower that R/T and 60'. It takes time. Even my 60' is somewhat bad. I cut a fairly decent consistent light, but once I drop the 3:73s and 2800 stall in, my 60' will drop.
Good luck, racing is addicting!

BTW, if he had a little better reaction time, he would have beaten your times JAL :)
And Bone stock.
The SS has better 60' times, but we eill catch you, and pass you at the 1/4 mark.
I race for the first time this Saturday. I wish it was at the SSHSO2, but the wife said no, so it's up here with ponies. Oh well.
I will post my time Saturday night when I get home. Or sunday if it's to late. :)

OK, I'm going to let you all in on a little secret from my Ricer friends... Go up to your local auto parts store, they'll have NOS fuel additive. It's like having REAL NOS IN A BOTTLE!!! Don't forget to get the sticker to stick on the side of your car too! Just those two mods alone will knock amost a WHOLE second off your ET's!
LMAO! Sorry... I just haven't seen any REAL Ricer bashing yet. HAD to do it. I'll be quite now...

The ET clock doesn't start ticking until you cross the beams. Your ET and MPH are not affected by your reaction time. I know this because the first time I hit the track, I had no idea what was going on with the lights, I cut a 1.73 RT and a .64 RT and my ET and MPH were almost identical for both runs that day., certainly not anywhere near 1.1 second difference in ET due to the RT. The 60' time on the other hand plays a huge role in ET. Right now my car runs 14.7's with a 2.4 second 60 time. This is mostly because I have a 6 speed manual conversion in the car, but still have 3.08 gears in the axle, so it is an absolute dog off the line, much much worse than it was with the stock auto. First gear in the stick is very different, I wind it out to 55 mph at the track. I plan on a gear switch very soon to 4.56's, which should help me bring my 60' time way way down. I don't expect it to be a huge difference, but I do feel that if I can cut the 60' down to 1.9 or 1.8 then I right there I should be running low 14's at the same MPH. The coolest part of the 6 speed conversion is that I have double overdrive, so with 4.56's and 6th gear, my highway RPM will be almost even with what it was for the stock auto and the 3.08's, I just need a better drivshaft to handle the rotating speeds of it. This is a problem I understand that the Marauder is plagued with too, driveshaft is not so great so ford had to cut the car off at 117 mph. I would think that if you put in a better shaft and reporgram the computer to have no limiter then your Marauders should be capable of 135+ mph, maybe even 140+.

Again, I highly doubt that. The only real mods I have to my car are exhaust, intake and programming. Your Maruder will not pass me at the 1/4 mile mark. Your trap MPH may be faster than mine, but you still need to cut 2-3 tenths off your ET.
