This means you, LML and 93tealcobra!:D

My office is holding a "Family Day" thing on Saturday, Nov. 8th. There's gonna be a carshow included, primarily for employees. I talked to the coordinator this morning when I signed up, and she said that as long as I keep any guests that show up with me, you guys could bring and show your cars as well.

The reason for all the security is that this IS a national-level intel agency, after all...I wouldn't be able to take any of you into the buildings, but then again, we won't be taking the CARS into any of the buildings so it's okay. Food/refreshments are available, although I don't know if they're free. (if they aren't, they'll be cheap!)

To the best of my knowledge, the local folks here in STL are:

LML
93tealcobra (if you show, try to bring the 'Stang too!)
deerejoe (who's not exactly local, but you're close enough---you're welcome if you can make it!)

I'll already be there. Got some free posters from Sinclair L/M that I'll use as part of my display.

Jrzygrl gets a MOST honorable mention here. From our STL mini-meet, I know she's got family down here. If the weather's good, and the kids don't mind, I'm hoping you can make it. Folks down here don't seem to believe that blue MM's exist...

Y'all let me know if you'd like to do this. I have to arrange passes for you to get in the gate. So far, not too many folks have signed up---our "competition" is a 1950s vintage firetruck and possibly a Hummer H2. There's a few others still on the fence about showing. Showtime is from 10:00-2:00 pm. Depending on how many of us make it, I might try to make up a banner advertising the website!

Just getting the word out...email me or post here! Later...:coolman:

I'll let you know a little later on if I can. Is that OK? Haven't really looked that far ahead into the calendar.

Sure!

Got an email from the coordinators this afternoon. They say that it's no problem to have the club in here (didn't think it would be), but they would like to get names and SSNs for folks coming onto the installation, and I'll have to be at the gate to "escort" you around. It's not a huge place---maybe two city blocks square---but it's more a matter of following procedures than anything else. I don't think anybody here really poses a "security risk", but you know how the government is these days.

Hoping to hear from Jrzy soon...
