Yes... the only reason I am selling is to make improvements to the house I just purchased.
It's a hard decision, but...

Hope I'm wrong, but I thought you just bought that car a month or two ago...?
In any event, best wishes for a quick and satisfying sale.

You are correct, but then I also bought a house... So it's time to get rid of some toys and invest into my home. I already have another car, my '07 Crown Vic, so this was just purchased as a toy and I really haven't had the time to drive it much.

I would do $16,800 with the warranty... minus the accessories, of course the "installed" items would be included.
Car is worth 14 tops on a good day where the buyer is uninformed.
Sorry!

Are you the original owner? If so look at your build sheet. The other clue is the engine series number or the ECC code. You might have some cosmetic differences in your car but it's a 300B.
300A

Do you have black or silver value covers? What's your engine code? Do you have the listed equipment below? Also what's your vin number?

You are selling the car with a feature set. It makes a difference to the prospective buyer. You can easily answer the question about 300a or 300b by lifting the hood of you car or seeing if it has heated seats. Some people up north like that feature. Hell, I am in the market for a second Marauder. I would love to see interior pictures and engine bay. That's a pretty normal request.

My 300A has heated seats and non-painted valve covers. From what I was told, in 2003 they had both the A and B, then in 2004 they just called them the 300A versions.
I hope this helps, and for you the price would be $17k, which includes the "debate surcharge"... :P

I have been around for sometime and purchased my car off the showroom floor in Sept. 2002. I has seen a ton of marauders and have replaced my engine 3 times. Repaired my transmission 2 times and own the factory repair manual (red book). What important about the 300a is a factory head issue in the early days. Also common to the 3G-120-AA engine failed more then any factory production Marauder. Secondly I have a 4R75W transmission ( It was upgraded by BC Automotive) that has some desired improvements. This transmission was found in the 2004 300B.
Engine code for the '03 300A is 3G-120-AA, PN 3W1Z-8052-AA, black valve covers, single knock sensor.
Engine code for the '03 300B is 3G-120-AB, PN 3W1Z-8052-AA, black valve covers, single knock sensor. Four catch codes, I don't remember the first. It was short lived, but followed by
BMDO, CRD0 and CRD1.
I hope this helps, and for you the price would be $17k, which includes the "debate surcharge"... :P[/QUOTE] I wonder if I can deduct that from my taxes.
It's only a suggestion but list the car features and add more interior pictures to give the perspective buyer a sense of what they are getting. Add a vin number also. The more information the better.

Yes....all 04's are 300A's......I have one....
The first 300b’s came out in 2003 along with color options. For some odd reason in 04 Ford labeled the car as a 300a, but it adopted the 300B feature set. It’s kind of confusing to figure out what’s what. At the end of the Marauder production run Ford included a moon roof. On paper, the letter A carried over, but in reality it was a 300b. The 2003 300a was the first of it’s kind and not to be confused with other marauder models.

If in reality 04's are all 300b's then why did I have plenty of people telling me I was wrong for telling dave his SB was a 300b and not a 300a?
I thought the A/B was to show the mid year switch in 03's but since there was no mid year switch in 04, all 04's were just 300a's...

You are playing the letter game. The differences are in the feature sets not the letter. Do a search on both sites for the information. This has been discussed a million times. Example: If you are purchasing a Marauder and want a remote gas door latch which model would you buy?

I beg to differ....you cant call it what you want to call it....you call it by what is on the window sticker....its labled as an 04 300A from Ford and thats what it is like it or not. Just my .02.

Thanks Steve, it sits in my garage 95% of the time undriven, so it does get dusty but that's about it. I really need to get it out and exercise it more often than once a week...
