I installed that 3.2 pulley today that I traded you a drink for. LOL. Also I installed the new blower plate with the IAT2 nestled nice and neat in the back (thanks Jerry!). Also I ran a 1/4 vacuum hose off a tee on the boost guage line to the fuel pressure sensor and so far so great! I was only able to romp it up to 80 but i also nailed it from the dig several times as well as plenty 30-60 mph's rolls, and so far the a/f is staying in the low 11's to 10's (with BAP turned ALL the way up). Thanks Zack for showing me this also, it's a hell of alot better than the 11's - 13.6's!
I wouldn't think that the 3.2 would do a whole lot, but throttle response time is alot quicker and at a roll she smokes them way more than she used to, looks like rain for the next couple days but i'll get her out soon enough and i'll stretch her legs down the highway and make sure that all is good.
Dom, like I said, I'M COMING FOR YOU!:D

The IAT and FRP sensor mod is correct, but your old tune does not take this in account, it does just the opposite, it was set up for non boost sensitive FRPS and inlet IAT you will gain over 30 RWHP with a corrected tune. That should be done on a dyno with live data, your knock sensors are useless. So just turn them off.

Thanks Dennis, failed to mention I didn't hook up the IAT2, I was just getting it in and ready for dyno is all. When I get back to work (hopefully very very soon!) It will be going on the dyno for sure. Hopefully with a 6 sp. backing it!

What are the benefits of making the Fuel rail pressure sensor boost sensitive?

To drop your A/F ratio to a safe level under WOT in s/c or turbo applications.
Glad it worked out for you Bob. Now come to street car chaos on May 24th at US41 from 2-10pm.
Way to go bob
Wait till you try the 3.0 pulley :D :burnout:

Has someone ever posted a write-up on this mod?

I'm kinda new at this myself Steve, still learning as I go. But instead of getting vacuum to the FRPS from the whatamahoozie on the wiper assembly, you simply grab vacuum off the boost guage 1/8" line. Just add a brass 1/4" tee with a 1/4" brass barbed fitting, all found at home depot, and run them to the FRPS. Then plug the end of the old line. I wasn't sure if i'd notice a difference without a tune but I did. I was normally hanging out in the red zone (12 and up, even 13's) on the guage, now it's all in the 10's and very low 11's.
Edit: you can get the 1/8" to 1/4" adapters in those 1/8" nylon boost guage kits for $6.00 at almost any auto part stores for the other two sides of the tee's.

can someone explaine the differance between the two FRPS vacume supply locations?
1) the original location
2)boost guage supply line

There is no need to rehash all of this, Jerry Barnes has this fixed, and it is incorporated in all his new kits, at the time years ago there were no four bank chips or even a flash device, so you could not even access the parameters out side bank 1 on a EEC 5 computer, but now you can.
You want to raise FP as you build boost, so if the FRPS is only seeing only vacuum, this never took place. But there were some ways around that, but boost sensitive FRPS is best, juts like actual IAT not OAT, this way you can add and subtract timing based on actual temperature entering the engine not the throttle body. This is critical on roots SC, it is just the opposite on a centrifugal SC, since the compressed air temprature is raised so the IAT has to be in front of the TB instead of on the inlet of the centrifugal SC. Call me any time if I can help.

No. Brad is all about warranties, so I installed the Trilogy kit per the directions.

Install the IAT in the lower intake, this allows the EEC to see actual IAT entering the the engine, the EEC can correct timing based on actual air temp entering the the engine, since IAT on the inlet of the SC is off by some times over 100 degrees. The IAT is built into the Marauder Maf so that is why a external IAT is added, and placed in the intake where it sees actual IAT entering the engine, and a stock Marauder Maf will peg close to 400 RWHP, so also get a maf upgrade.

Thanks for chiming in Dennis. For those wanting photo's, here is some of what I came up with for the fuel pressure sensor. 1/8" nylon for the boost guage / 1/4" barbed vacuum for the FPS, then I disconected and plugged off the the original line. (someone chime in if this is wrong) This is also the location that Jerry will drill and tap for you on your plate for the IAT2 sensor, all you need to do is grind off a very small amout of the intercooler flange in the far back corner, believe me when I say this, this is no big deal whatsoever. As for the wires, I haven't yet hooked them up but was told to run them back to the MAF and tie into the first and last wire of the harness and to cap off the other ends going into the MAF. Dennis, what exactly needs to be changed in the tune and why? Is it raising the values of the IAT for the new location or a fuel sensor issue?

These next ones are hard to photograph but show the sensor in the right rear corner of the plate, this location and Dennis's are just in different area's but will both work the same.

I do not want to rehash old and current wars about this. This was meant to be informative, as there really isn't much in the archives about procedure and how or what this does for you without some serious digging, just to find more arguements.
Truth is I've had great dealings with Zack, Jerry, Lidio, and Dennis, and have the fullest intentions on keeping it that way. All were very helpfull, my car seems to be running ALOT less lean now, but i'm afraid I won't have solid dyno numbers for quite awile. Perhaps I should have waited till then, but as for my A/F there is no denying that with the little testing that I have done so far it is now staying safely in the 10's and low 11's.
However at cruizing I am still at 15.1-15.4 and I would like to see that closer to 14.7.
