has anyone put these on their MM or does anyone have any input on what i should get for rears? i have a stock MM and don't really beat on it but i live in south Florida so need something that will grip in the rain, but I don't wanna spend alot of money on tires. And i want somethin that wont wear too fast, I bought some BFG's for the rear last year and only got 10K miles out of them.. any info is greatly appreciated!

If you're considering Generals, go with the Grabber UHP, higher speed and load ratings. I've got them on the back of my car and have had good service life out of them, 8K+ miles on them with minimal wear.

Try www.eastcoasttires.com

Look for the Hankook Ventus.

What shy'ed me away from selecting the truck style tires, I was concerned that the XL rating was unnecessary and the stiff sidewall may not have a good feel to it.
I have not mounted the new tires yet but I went with Dunlop SP5000 for the rear and OEM for the front.

Good call on the Hankook ventus. They have a 245/50 18 which is a much more appropriate rear tire height than the huge 255/55. 255/55 is really a truck size, you could drive through the woods with your MM if you put those on the front too.

Cool!

I honestly like the look of the 255/55's in the back. I was hesitant, but the extra meat looks really good IMO. I used the Goodyear Responsedge and I still love them! Super quiet tire that has superior wet/dry traction. I can actually hear the BFG's in the front over the Goodyears in the back. I just wish they made the responsedge in the OEM size for the front when I bought new tires.

Won't fit on the front, clearance problems (I tried....;))

Oops, looks like my pics are gone....but there are plenty of other guys with the 255/55's on the back you can see with a simple search.

How many miles have you put on the Responsedge and how is the tread wear so far?
