Gotta do toooooooooo much to the suspension. "supposedly" u can slide 22's on there with the correct tire and u wont need any suspension modification.
When i get my 76' Eldarado vert then i will throw some 30's on it

I have seen my share of dumbasses at the track with the hoopty rims scratching their collective heads while watching their rear wheels go down the track without the car. Something to think about.

BTW: Bob is right...those BIG diameter rims really multiply the torque forces on your axles...they also wreak havoc on your brakes.

My compressor went and I drove it for a couple days and then to the dealership with the bags deflated... rides like a tank!!! Rode so bad I was getting VERY aggravated!

Im saying Marauders are nice lookin cars..... but damn u wont be "accepted" in the marauder community if u change the apperance?.... it seems like the only accepted mods are engine and exhaust. I plan on throwing 22's on mine so it will atleast stand out the bunch. i really dont wanna go to a car show and its 50 cars and they all look the same, only thing different is either they have a JLT or K&N intake.

Not so. Some people are 'pureists', they like the looks from the factory, and think that should never change.

Me, (and I'm not alone), I don't like the look of big wheels/low profile tires - but I won't say a thing about it if that is the route an owner chooses. I also don't like lima beans, but won't cajole someone who does like them. I only congratulate them on their fine taste in cars.

ima big fan of donks and big wheels, growing up in miami where all that game started i had a few p71s. last one i had was a 2000 with 23s lexani marquis 4.10s, exhaust ,k&n cai, tb, mass air flow, and pi heads from 04 gt. it was nice looking car, but i refuse to do it to the marauder.:banned:

the only way i would ride around on dub -dueces on the mm is if i have double the power than now, and u bet they would be taking off the car for the track.

point is nothing looks sweeter than factory wheels on this car. :cool:

Like all new things and places, sometimes it takes a couple of days to get the lay of the land, so to speak. I think you will find that most people are agreeable here. There are those who live to stir the pot, but for the most part, we can live and let live. Regarding the IMHO preface, I have found over the years when addressing groups of 1 or 400, unless you are stating unequivocal facts, it puts the audience at ease if you make sure they understand you are voicing an opinion about something rather than ramming conjecture down their throats. It is my opinion that you can put any size wheel on your car that you want. It is your car. I may or may not like the finished product, but in the end, who the F cares about my opinion regarding your car? I have modded my car to the extent that it is one of the fastest sleds around. I have also murdered it out. Not everyone's cup of tea, but I love it. Just watch out with the extreme wheel size. There are a lot of parameters that are affected by doing so. It won't be too cool if you put the pedal to the floor and your axels snap. Good luck with your project.

I have a MARAUDER.... not a CROWN VICTORIA...

and since u wanted to post vids of wreckless drivers why not post the one of the two Marauders racing on a public street... or the one of the S/C marauder "supposedly" racing the GT Mustang.
There are countless vids on there of ppl driving wreckless, only reson u posted that vid was because dude had rims on his merc.

I havent had the chance to ride in a S/C marauder so i might as well hit dude up and maybe i can bite his whole set up and i can do donuts with him, post vids and read your hating comments.

Mind if I chime in with a small suggestion? Mac-MerC I have 22's on my baby, and the only reason I would go smaller is to buy this set of Shelby wheels I really like and even then they are 20s. My mini cooper has 18s why should a car twice the size and twice the weight have the same size wheels....LoL. Listen most of the guys on here have this wierd notion that people should only have a marauder for a drag strip or something. All this talk and not one of these guys take their car to a "real track" where cars like my MINI would eat them up. A performance car isn't a car that can only perform in a straight line last time I checked. I bought a Marauder for the look, feel, and prestige of having a limited edition vehicle that always turns heads and makes people ask "what's that, never heard of that before". IMO, the panther platform looks great with 22s, just choose the right set of wheels to compliment the cars capabilities, not hinder them.
I have 22x9 265/35/22 +32 offset all around. They don't poke out, don't weigh much more than the stock wheels and tires. Let me know if you need to see a better pic

So Mac, what do say we give this thread back to egaray281, nobody likes hijacked threads. Start your own and lets try this again, hopefully it will stay civil, as long as your ready to accept a few nasty comments. This is normall for all ideas brought fourth for acceptance, such as my hood. Like I stated before, you do want the truth right? If everybody jumped on and said "man thats awesome!" but behind your back laughed about it with other members how would that make you feel? Bringing ideas to the table can sometimes be hurtfull, and other times be well accepted. Of course most of us are performance oriented, the Marauder is a performance sedan right?

I agree with you on some points, but this forum is just like every other car forum, from American-European-Japanese....full of guys who like "cars" but the problem comes when the illustrious "10%" chime in with negative, un-informed comments because "they heard" or "someone they know" like the whole purpose is to make someone either look stupid or feel bad about a decision that person has made about "their" car. Nobody ever thinks their ideas will be liked by all, but some people need to keep the negativity to a minimum. a simple "not my taste" post would suffice or how bout if you don't like it.....don't post...just skip over it like every other thread that has no direct interest to you....too easy right?

I dont like the look and performance of 22s takes away from the performance of the cars, look at those guys who put 22s on the chargers with the hemi :lol:.....why not just buy the v6 ??? I went with 20s and they are staggered fit, they look great, handle great, but that is as big as I would go

I have 22" on my car, I also have a supercharger, etc.... I did what I wanted to my car because it's what I wanted to do it. I love and take great care of my car just like all the other MM owners. I just think as adults we should be able to agree to disagree, the world would be very boring if everybody look the same act the same. Just my 2 cents.
