Hey guys... noticed a smell the other day of brakes, but I thought it was the car in front of me. Then I smelt it the next day and when I looked at my wheel on the driver's side I noticed a pretty decent amount of brake dust compared to the other wheels. I took the wheel of last night after adjusting my rear suspension to the correct ride height (body shop put it level to the front instead of giving it that MARAUDER RAKE). Anyways, I went to take the caliper off to see if there was anything I could do to it to free it up and when I took the wheel off I noticed the hose the the caliper had a full loop in it. When the body shop fixed my front end, they had the caliper spun around 360*!!! I flipped the caliper around to take the loop out of the hose, compressed the pistons and put back on the car... Seems to brake better and be fine now! I spoke to a couple car guys including my dad and they all think I should have the body shop replace that brake hose because there is a posibility it could fail due to the structural integrity being compromised. It wasn't kinked, just had a loop. DO you guys think I need to go through the trouble of having it replaced. or do you think I should be ok? I have a feeling I am going to have them replace it for safe measure...

That loop gets pulled REAL tight when you turn. I would put TCE lines on it and call it a day. At $155.00 and a couple hours time, they're nice. If it was that hot it may have damaged the rotor, caliper OR bearing. I would go back anyway and tell them that they should take this seriously on good faith. They are lucky it didn't cost them a crashed car.

I just want it to be right... I am trying to figure out if it was them or me that did it.... I did the brakes before the accident, but I know better than to loop the hose! I hope it was them and not me! I will have them throw the Eibachs in there when they fix it!!

You don't just 'throw' springs in. It's quite an undertaking. You might want to read up on some posts and experiences about Eibach springs before you install them. Most guys cut .75 to 1 whole coil and get dynamite results. There has been complaints on Eibach springs. I was going to buy them but removed a coil instead with a carbide wheel and friggin' love the 1.25" drop. I lowered the rear .75" and she sits sweet. See?
