Had some chirping from under the hood, belt is definately going quickly. Nice and cracked. But when i looked at the belt, i can see there is quite a bit of play in it. Maybe and inch or so. Do the tensioners just go that quickly on these cars? Also my local parts dealer has the the GATES tensioner, any reviews on their product? Will it last longer than fords did? Or just go with dayco for $10 buck more through ford? Thanks guys appreciate the help.

the aftermarket gates tensioner I bought for another car was far inferior to the stock (delco) one for that car. The spring was of a totally different design and it had a plastic instead of metal pully. Out of the box, for that application car, it was not stiff enough to prevent a brand new belt from banging the tensioner off one of the extents, under load. I can't say for the MM because I have all stock engine parts on it but I would be leery of slight cost savings using an aftermarket tensioner again...
I would buy an OE tensioner
