Any of you tried to run these up front and if so how do they work??

I have been running Nitto uni-directionals but they get pretty noisy in time.:shake:

I would like to at least be able to swap the side to side to even up the wear and lower the noise as they wear down!!

Ideas??

I have not done the research but it seems to me that the wider the front tires are the more inside wear you may experience. Just a thought?? Dennis

I ordered 2 Kumho Ecsta ASX tires in this size today to see how they do...at least I can swap them side to side!!

BTW, I went with 255/45/18's instead of 275's!!

Stay tuned!!:D

275/45/18's, I was going to try 265/45/18's, take pics, so we can see how it looks, do you have a lowered front end, or stock?

I got the Kumho's put on today and Holy Moly......they are smooooth and very quiet!!:bows: The car steers and tracks better too!!:banana2:

Now I will be able to swap them side to side to even the wear!!!:D

I sure wish Kumho made them in the 295 size then I'd run them on the back too!!

Gas mileage is bad enough... you must not care all that much.

Wider tires have a negative effect on gas milage.

More contact patch = more resistance.

So are you running bicycle tires??

I have run 255's up front and 295's out back for about 4 years with absolutely no degradation in fuel mileage...that I can tell!!!:bows:

I still get 17-19 MPG around town and 22-23 on the highway even with the blower and it's parasitic drag.......been this way for most of the 197,685 miles, so I don't think the "contact patch" reduction in fuel economy is measurable!!:shake:

I will gladly take ride comfort and performance over .001 MPG fuel mileage improvement any day!!

Carry on gents (I miss ole Mac)!!:D
