Wish they had tested the Aero Turbine non-resonated muffler like I have.

Let's guess...put on test by Borla...right? right?!! Ha!

Actually that is very interesting!

Ditto, guess they're still relativly new.

Where are the stock muffler numbers?

Back in my Mustang days I read an article where welded in Flowmasters actually robbed a 2001 Mustang GT of a few horsepower.

Stock 99+ Mustangs exhausts did pretty well for themselves.

Flowmasters suck, but people still but them in droves.

Anyone tired the Borla XS? I thought I saw someone here that was selling them - took them off etc

Interesting. Great info. I would like to know what the sound db levels are on a stock marauder at idle & 2000 rpms?

Brian:

Help me here - so all these hi-flow mufflers make nothing but noise and little HP.

I'll stick with my FRPP shorty headers and OEM mufflers, tail pipes and tips.

Stock HP is 302. These all show around 370ish. Makes no sense. No muffler I know of adds that many.

Anyways, the right noise is very, very nice, and people pay a lot to get it. Ask any Harley owner.

I love my Maganaflows and don't really care whether or not they added even 1 hp. The car just sounds right.

w/o the rest of the story those numbers don't mean a lot. No where does it say what car they are on, what size pipes ect so there is no valid comparison to our stock mufflers.

+1...except insert AeroTurbines for Magnaflows in my case.

Have gotten 3 "I like/love the way your car sounds" compliments in the past 48hrs....

nobody knows the stock data??? this is based only on aftermarket mufflers in a mustang. It's just a datta to help people before they make their decision on aftermarket mufflers.

Ballpark figures too. Your results may vary. My FRPP dual modes probably would not do well on this test, but they work well and I like them!
