gas mileage!! Just a bonus for an already awesome car!!

I did not buy my Marauder to save on fuel, but the last two fill ups the car did very well. Its just a bonus to me. I bought the car middle of March. Carmax changed fluids etc. But I finally changed my oil for the first time since owning it and after driving 3000 miles. I put in my usual Mobil 1 full synthetic. 2 weeks ago the car got 334 miles just as the fuel light went on and then yesterday the car got 323 miles before the light went on. The 334 was more highway miles but the 323 was off the highway. I dont even get that with my shity 4 banger. Anyone else sometimes get good mileage.

I usually do 280 - 300 miles to a tank (16.1 gal).

Driving up to VA @ 75mph it got around 330 to a tank.

It's getting really hot and humid down here and I'm starting to watch my milage get worse.

I had a 2 hour drive. I was following one of my crazy friends and I would say the average speed had to have at least 80. And after the trip I filled it up again and I got 18.5 mpg. I thought that was pretty good cause we were doing over 100 for a few miles.

I've made three long runs with my stock 03 Marauder. 215 miles (27.9 MPG)/avg speed 52 MPH, 424 miles (25.4 MPG)/avg speed 63 MPH, 431 miles (23.7 MPG)/avg speed 69 MPH. My local around town fuel economy is averaging 18.2 MPG. I don't hammer the throttle that much unless needed for passing or merging into traffic.

I was around the 360 mi/tank range last summer. That being said with gas here around the $5.50/ u.s. gallon mark for premium last year, I really kept my foot light and for the most part, didn't really care who beat me from a traffic light. Slow lane, 60 mph on cruise on the highway, that sort of thing. That was all primarily freeway driving though. Had more than one curious RCMP officer pass me while doing that kind of driving too...LOL. My car is bone stock with no mods whatsoever.

My best ever highway mpg was 21.xx mpg. Straight up full tank of 75 mph cruising. My normal all-highway mpg is right on 20 mpg, and city is 14-18 depending on how short the trips are. NA MM w/ 373s and just a tune
