Looks fantastic! Congrats! I can imagine how it performs, but how does it sound? Can you heard the supercharger whine?

It sounds like a jet enginge, not really like anything else I have ever heard, and then when the pop off valve kicks in it sounds great.
SO THAT'S ABOUT 475HP AT THE CRANK? WOW!
Can you spin the tires now?LOL.

Yep, 475ish, and they are still playing around with options. I am hoping for 500 HORSE... I can spin them all the way through first, second.... And it handles awesome

Did they make suspension changes as well? Mind detailing for us everything they did (or at least the major points)?

I will be more than glad to share what they did, as soon as I know for sure! I am waiting on their final documents and I will post them here.

One of the things that helped with my decision to go with Kenny Brown was Steve Babcock the Mercury Marauder Program Manager's live chat on Edmunds Town Hall. In his discussion he mentioned that he was aware that Kenny Brown would be "looking at doing Maruader supercharged kits". That was enough for me to send my car to him.
Steve Babcock mentions supercharged Marauder by Kenny Brown (http://www.edmunds.com/townhall/chat/transcripts/mercmarauderchattranscript0606 02.html) :)

mensrea First congratulations on the Super Mods ! Your car not only is beautiful but it should also be able to devour rice and euro-snobs (just a phrase, I don't mean to offend the owners) I can't afford what you did (2 sons in college) but I dream from afar.... keep posting on your dream car, pictures, specifications, performance tests, anything related to that beauty. Share the dream !!!! :) :) :)

Yeah, I have to agree with that. $16.8k is a bit much for my pocket book, but I can certainly appreciate the desire to do it. If I had the cash, I'd be there. :D

Supercharger installation can be a problem for those of us in California. Talked to Kenny Brown about our smog rules and CARB approval problems. They're looking into getting CARB approval for there installation. That's a real plus for us out here. I'm waiting for the hoped for approval, and a lighter color. It runs up over 110F during the summer; and higher on the driveway apron or any parking lot I may go to. So that rules out a black car. I've had Black ones ('69 Galaxie XL GT) when I lived back east. They're the best looking I've had. But I drive white ones out here. I'm hoping the Silver one will be light enough. We'll see.

Bill Smith,

Chicago is my original home; grade school there, high school in Racine (wish I could have been at Da Grove last weekend), college at Northwestern after service. Still visit relatives there about four or five times per year, so I'll contact you on my next visit; probably after the first of the year. As for going out for a spin, we'll see how the weather is at that time. I remember Chicago only too well.
Will have to decide on Marauder-S this March. Current '89 Grande Marquis (Marauder clone) is heavily modified, and probably won't be smog approved when I have to take it in for test. Will cost me several thousand to put it back to stock configuration. Current configuration runs cleaner than stock, but that doesnt' count. Approved configuration is all this state looks for. Basically, the Grande Marquis is built up as a Mustang GT with CARB approved supercharger, which is approved for a Mustang. Same basic configuration on a Grand Marquis is not. Alternative is if car is rejected, register it in Washington where my daughter lives and try to hide the car when I'm down here in SoCal. And if I have to do that, then much better to do it with Marauder-S.

I was able to get a valet switch for my marauder, and it works great. Check out the other post in this forum to see how it works.
mensrea,
Hey, are you gonna be around this weekend at all? I would really like to see the beast. Let me know.
Thanks,
