I contacted my State Farm guy last week in reguards to possibly purchasing a S/C and quite a few other performance parts:P He said he was 99% sure that this wouldn't be a problem but he'd check with the IL. state underwriters on this and get back to me.
He called me back today to inform me that it was a go, also my file was now noted and to take pictures for me to keep on file of all work done. I also explained that the one I was looking to get was used so there wouldn't be any reciepts, once again, noooo problem, take plenty of pictures.
I've just been a little nervous since my install with a few threads indicating problems with either getting coverage or higher rates (My rates also will go unchanged).
Now I can sleep a little easier knowing if I total it or if it were to get stolen that this will be taken care of. Just passing this along so no one goes underinsured and takes a beating considering the cost of performance parts could easilly outway the cost of the car nowadays.
