I was wondering how many Marauder's have been pulled over just for having the vehicle (Especially in CAM area). I got pulled over in DC, for Tint, even though I live in MD, and searched (Consented), in half uniform (not saying that I am anything special). Has anyone ever been pulled over and searched without a valid reason, other than sportin' a Marauder?

Got followed for a couple miles by an Officer, after a few lane changes and turns it was obvious. I hadn't done anything so I wasn't worried, but when he pulled in behind me at the pumps when I stopped for gas I knew something was up, cruisers don't fuel up at the local Wa-Wa. Turns out he just loved the car, wanted to know how I liked it, they were trying to get one for the station as an unmarked but they cost too much, but he still wanted one, etc. etc. Showed him the car inside and out. Which I guess is technically a consent to search. I told him he could take it around the block, just leave his keys with me, he laughed and politely declined but the look in his eyes said he suuuuuure wanted to. I told him to stop me next time he sees me if he's in his regular car and we'd go for a ride. That was geez, 3 years ago at least, maybe 4. Never seen him since.

A few of the Capitol police by my job look as I drive by. One or two of them actually ask me about the car when I get out. I can say I never got pulled over so a cop could check the car out though.

I had a cop pull me over for 80 in a 65... I looked in the side view mirror as he came up to my car and he was sliding the back side of his hand against my freshly waxed paint! I was smirking and thought to myself "I am not getting a ticket"... He wrote me for an expired inspection sticker that was 4 months over because he had to and gave me a warning for the speed... He had gone to the front of my car to look at the LED set-up I had for my emergency lights and I told him I have a redlight permit for the emergency lights and he said "Don't worry about it bud, just hold tight for a second". I still do 80 by the same cop and he just lets me go by now! He liked the car and my light set-up

I guess it happens. You'd think with those Super 44s, I'd get a ticket for that! I was coming from Philadelphia on 95, pulled over for gas, and on one road, there was one of those digital signs that said $100 tickets for loud exaust, gosh, I barely hit the throttle! I don't know what exit that was off of though!

U came 2 the right guy. DC pulls me over at lease twice a week 4 my tint. Some of them love the marauder the others, will u know. I live in the city. From what i was told they can pull u over for ur tint. I don't pay tint tickets and i tell them to there face. If i had Ga. tags on my car can u give me a ticket, they told me yea. BULLSH@#. Ga tint law is u can put 5% on and it's legal. Most cops don't even turn in tint tickets. Like i said i don't pay them. I do have MD tags.

I stay in Florida and got pulled over for having my fog lights on at 6:30pm on July 4..but every time i go thought GA i get pulled over ..the last time i got pulled ..my mom was driving and he pulled her over just to ask about the car

I've been pulled over several times just to talk about my car. Had 3 Howard Co. cops pull me over on my way home from work one night on Rt. 29. Took 3 cops 25 mins to issue me a WARNING about my tint........

Got pulled over a few weeks ago for unsafe lane change, uniformed and plain clothes questioned me about everything and anything. Had all my windows down and all interior lights on before they even got out of the car. Unsafe lane change because I didn't use my blinker to get in the right turn lane to pull into my work.

I don't really care about if I get pulled over but there better be a damn good reason for it.

A lot of bogus reasons I see. Oh well, I won't consent to the search next time, I really wasn't riding dirty. Then again, you can't get a ticket if you don't stop :run:

I stay in Florida and got pulled over for having my fog lights on at 6:30pm on July 4..but every time i go thought GA i get pulled over ..the last time i got pulled ..my mom was driving and he pulled her over just to ask about the car

Yes i was WOT but so he didnt give me a ticket for speeding he gave me one for spinning tires. :confused:

Ga tint law is u can put 5% on and it's legal.

Not anymore buddy, my tint was 24% and i surely did get a ticket for it. Straight outta Dekalb County. I still had Carmax tags on the MM Told officer that the tint was on it when i purchased the car and he said that he didnt give a damn either take it to Carmax and make them take the tint off or i can just pay the ticket and not take it off.... then get pulled over again and pay up more money

Well let me start like this, I got pulled over way more in my p71 interceptors then in my marauder(but dont get me wrong the marauder is still a justice league magnet). I used to have a DD silver 00 cvpi and another 00 black cvpi I'd say i've been pulled over about an average of once a month to 2 months. They would put on the party lights and just come up and ask about my tints, weapons, drugs, the whole 9 yards. And they love always trying to search the car but they've always left empty handed and felt stupid. I NEVER ride dirty in those cars and drive normal majority of the time lol. ALL the times I got pulled over I never speeded or did any thing wrong or outrageous, face it, it's just the car lol..well plus the tints which is MY part. Funny thing is, All of my cars in the past had tints, and my accord and the srt-4 NEVER got pulled over 4 tints! The problem is many people use these ex-cop interceptors for bank robberies, impersonating police by simply just adding a uniform and using the cvpi and committing ranges of crimes, and the over-abundance of drug dealers and teenagers riding these cars,etc.

Of course this is also because I live near Langley Park and Montgomery co. cops will pull you over for anything and everything.

MOCO Cops. Their normal line is, "Your tints look dark" then, "Where ya heading?" then "Do you have any drugs or weapons in the car" then"You sure?"then "Step out of the vehicle please." "Can we search your car?" I used to say no but WHAT A HASSLE so I started letting them search it and yea, left with nothing.

With My Marauder, I've owned for about close to a year now Ive been pulled over about 2 times, both by Mont. County cops. AND LET ME TELL YA.

First time a moco cop pulled me over while I was with my neighbor driving CIVILIZED THE WHOLE TIME. He was all nice in the beginning (fakin it), said my tints look dark. Then he called backup and exactly 5 more cop cars pulled up! This was at Wheaton Mall too! I gave him no attitude whatsoever and addressed him as sir/officer. He kept asking me about drugs and weapons, about money?, why im driving so nice, the whole 9 yards. next thing you know he opened my door told me and my neighbor to get the hell out. He patted us down and asked to search the car.I said GO AHEAD. I cant forget to add this part, THE COP WAS RACIST as a king kong kane. He got all up in my neighbors face literally an inch a way because hes black(haitan) and he started giving him such an attitude and saying stuff like ,"you got a warrant out for you?" "You dont got no weed no coke" "I know you got something" I felt so bad because my neighbor just moved to mo county from DC and hes a cool guy that doesn't deserve none of that bs. I was just showing him a good time riding out... Well anyways when they started searching the car they saw the condition I keep my interior in the rauder, brand new dealer sticky floormats and all, I'm not transporting a key of coke man just pimpin clean! They always seem bummed wen they leave with nothing! One of the cops was real cool he loved the rauder and wanted to get one.
He ended up giving me a repair order for my tints WAY TO RUIN MY DAY. Of course I got it voided because my friend is a moco cop and i still got my tints!

Second time, I BBBAARRRRely did a Rolling stop near my house I thought I made a full stop what a shade of grey! I couldv'e swore i stopped completely. I was with a girl and cop was being extra nice probably because of my barbie doll friend. At the end he gave me a ticket for the rollign stop and never showed up to court!

MOST moco cops always walk around with a chip on their shoulder, abusing their power, harrassing people, thinking they are so big and bad and treat all civilians like criminals like sharks hunting for fish. Think I am biased? Many PG and DC cops also say the same thing about them... "chip on their shoulder." I have so many stories. This doesn't have anything to do with it. But my sister once got pulled over when she was FREAKING 16 years old. and she heard the cops say these exact words, " Would you bang her" I SWEAR TO god on my life. They were triple her age and said it out loud! She felt so uncomfortable and harrassed. I'm sorry but I can't stand MOCO cops and I have been so righteously just and have been harrassed by them so much. Sorry this thread really just had "open me up" written all over it!

Wow, some interesting stories here...

I've gotten pulled over twice in my Mercury. They were both for my tint (11 % all over) I got a ticket for the first one and the cop (Loudoun Co. Sheriff Deputy) asked me if I put my exhaust on myself. I said no, it's factory.

The 2nd time i got pulled over, (again Loudoun County Sheriff dept deputy) I just played dumb and said I had no idea there was a tint law in VA. I let him explain what the legal limits were and everything and I played good citizen and said yes sir/no sir.

I got off with a warning. :)

Although I don't want to get pulled over again, I secretly am hoping that the next time I will get a cop that will admire my car. I'm jealous of reading everyone's post about how the cop just wanted to know more about the Marauder. I think that's pretty sweet.

I stay out of MOCO and VA as much as possible. I got pulled over twice in the Marauder...once b/c my front tag wasnt ON the car and second time was b/c my tag bulb was out. BOTH time I was in walking distance of my house. The police were cool about both situations. *KNOCK ON WOOD* I hope I dont get pulled over this weekend.

I have never been pulled over OR searched in almost 4 years of ownership. Mine has a tinted windshield and does not even raise suspicion. However, the Florida Highway Patrol had/has a few Marauders and on three occasions I have let some of the troopers drive my car (while I was in it). I drive a wrecker on rotation so these guys are cool with asking such a favor. It is kinda humbling to sit shotgun and see somebody of such a caliber asking to palm your keys. Hey - I happily agreed. I figure if I ever get yanked for pulling a dumb-dumb, it might get me a freebie!

lol. You are very lucky then. If you drive in moco, I guarantee a byebye to your tints within a week! I'm Pretty sure almost all the moco cops would pull me over right away with limo tints on a rauder !:lol: My 20% is barely hanging in there and I BARELY am on the road! Close calls 2 much but i have my moco pals to void it all the time !:beer:

So what you are trying to say is you can't have foglights on when its dark??Once the sun has risen above the horizon you can drive with just fog lights on unless your area demands daytime running lights. Once the sun has set below the horizon headlights must be on. Anytime between that weather providing (sunny or overcast day) fogs lights can be on without headlights.

Statisticly you are 4 times more likely to be seen with headlights on by other drivers. If it's a nice bright sunny day I drive with fogs on any other weather I drive with headlights and fogs on.

Brevard, the county I work in, wants my car so bad they can taste it. I get trolled every day. Stopped at least once a week. There's deputy in an unmarked charger on my highway commute that pulled me, walked around the car thrice and finally issued a fix it ticket for tint and said he'd be watching for me in 30 days. Further he said they would impound and seize if I didn't fix it.

Chics I date up here ask why I drive such a bad ass car so slow. Invariably we get trolled. Then I say, "see?". Pain in my left nut.

Dudes, you're not getting my car. Keep trying. I'll just stay in Indian River and especially St. Lucie where they like the car and the guy who drives it!

I used to get searched every time i got pulled over in my caprice(totally deserved it for how ridiculous it looked lolz) which was 3 times
Ive been searched 2x in my MM. Once for chirpin 2nd, once for 96 in a 55 :burnout:
Got out of it because he liked the car and i didnt have anything in it he wanted.
