What he meant to say was he really doesn't know the answer and hopefully someone will chime in that does.

Ok that's a good start...but were is it? Behind the switch; under the dash, steering column?

According to the manual ( I looked for the DRL module recently, myself) the DRL module is mounted on the rad support, in the area of the hood latch I think.
I can scan and mail the page from the manual if you like, but not until tomorrow.

Ahh... I just realized you probably meant "where is the LCM mounted?". In that case, I can't help you - but I'm sure plenty of people on this site know where it is. Try a search for "LCM" - lots of people have repaired or replaced theirs.

DRL's are for motorcycles aren't they? I would be careful around the LCM at all costs. Handle it like fine china.

No, I actually have both the 2003 & 2004 Ford factory electrical manuals. Just think that people are serious about owing a Marauder should buy the manuals.

The LCM is in the headlamp switch.
I have DTRs' that were installed by my selling dealer.
It took them three days to install and they left a big mess on my floor.
If no one else can help, I'll try to see what wires are involved.

The LCM is located under the LH side of the instrument panel. Subsystem functions of the LCM include headlamps with autolamps, turn signal lamps/hazard flasher lamps, cornering lamps, parking lamps, courtesy lamps, demand lamps, battery saver and control backlighting.

The LCM is in the headlamp switch. No, it's not.

Captain is correct. The LCM is under the dash, above the driver's right knee. C2145b pin 14 is a 20ga wire that is Dark Green with a Light Green tracer.

Rockettman, are you trying to install the factory DRLs or an aftermarket kit? According to my wiring manual, factory DRLs don't interface directly with the LCM at all.

Actually I installed a Ford unit 2 years ago myself.
Everything is fine - except - when i dim the dash lights with the toggle wheel on the dashboard (you know to dim the speedometer), the DRL's dim as well.
I don't think I got that "Pin#14" thing right. I may have done it from behind the light switch. Can't remember. I guess that is wrong.?.
Other than that, it's a pretty simple install (for the Ford unit anyway).

I posted this in your other thread too.... I think you need CIRCUIT #14, not PIN #14...

"The Lighting Control Module is in the center of the IP - right behind the gauges / climate control head. It is a pain to remove.

I looked in the Ford service manual and it says that connector C2145b pin #4 feeds CIRCUIT 14 and is a BROWN wire. It feeds 'exterior lamps' per the manual. There are 16 wire ports on this connector. If you hold the connector such that it forms a slight 'U' shape (flanges on the edges turn upward), the wire ports are numbered from right to left 1-6 on top row and then 7 - 16 right to left on the bottom row... (yes, top row has 6 ports and the bottom row has 10 so it should be easy to figure out which is the top row). The one you'll be looking for is the third from the left in the top row with the brown wire.

This should get you a little closer."

Can't argue with that thought. I bought a set of manuals, and they've been a a big help with troubleshooting and general repairs.

Actually, it's under the dash, between the steering column and just above the acelerator pedal. Remove the trim panel and you'll see it up there. And yes, it is a bit of a pain to remove, especially if you're "plus-sized" like me.:o

I stand corrected... I remember changing mine and I seem to remember standing on my head in the driver's footwell... perhaps I just leaned against the tunnel... Not that you mention it, I don't remember removing the gauges to get to it...
