Many have purchased God's head grille and trunk badging from Colex a few years ago. Weather and driving friction have taken their toll on the black background on these badges.

Question: what are folks doing to restore the badges to their like new condition?

Today I tried black acrylic paint applied with an artist brush and that worked for me.

Surprisingly my grille badge is almost untouched while my rear one is starting to get pits in it. I already have small rust pits on the trunk lid and plastic bumper???? Yep.

I had no idea of the quality of them nor did I realize they were metal!
The pics of them on their web site didn't do them justice or I would have tryed to get them sooner!

Anyways I am going to spray a few layers of clearcoat on them once I paint the area's around the god's head black. I hope that will protect them for many years to come plus it should make it a lot easier to polish them when I do the car detailing each time.
