Ok guys, what is the deal with all this stuff I've been seeing online about a 2010/2011 Crown Vic or Crown Vic Replacement?
Are these just rumors and internet BS....or is this legit? I'm talking stuff like this:

So far I've heard that its only fan art basically and has no real truth to it.
I would personally love to see a new 400hp++ panther platform car...but I highly doubt that is doing to happen. I think they really dropped the ball with the marauder...only offering 302HP options...had they offered a supercharged model...or a 427 naturally aspirated model...tacked on a few extra K - I'm sure all of you and myself would have been very grateful.
Anyone have any real or artificial hope for me? hahaha
EDIT::
I guess it is real....

AND THE VIDEO!!!

Could this be a semi-replacement to the marauder? A 415HP RWD Sedan? Or is this more of a luxury vehicle than a muscle car?

Given that the "Interceptor" concept has been around since 2006, DO NOT hold your breath that it will be a reality. :D

There's something about the front end that looks too robocop-ish for me, but is a badass idea and car.

I agree with this...the front end is ugly...the Lincoln MKR which is the same car...but with different trim...looks a LOT better.
Ford NEEDS a 4dr sedan with some balls.
I would buy one.

Former SHO owner here, love the new one, wouldn't give the mm up right away for that. Hope that they throw that turbo motor from the new SHO into the edge to make it compete with the porche cayenne! Be a nice addition to the fleet, especially since we need the size for the tiny puppy! the interceptor concept was supposed to happen until recently. ford put on hold the new rwd platform indefinitely. :(

I forget where I read it, but either J. Mays or Peter Hornbury said they never actually intended to make the Interceptor, it was just a styling exercise..

I bet there is no Panther replacement and that the new Taurus will fill the void. Also, as long as people keep buying Grand Marquis and P71 Interceptors, Ford will keep making them (until CAFE penalties kick in).

Unfortunately, with the government now having the American auto
industry by said part of their anatomy, their probably ain't a dogs chance in
Hell of this happing. Can you imagine the new Camaro being developed
now? Not likely unless it was battery powered.

Well either way I really hope that this car comes to fruition...maybe a new 2014 marauder or something on the same platform but with a better looking front...monotone design...more menacing features....and of course a 600HP version ;-)

Never gonna happen. The Interceptor concept was from 07. A lot has changed since then. The Taurus will fill the void left by the Panthers when they are dropped.

I saw the Intereceptor as well @ the DC auto show. Looked good but I agree the front end is a bit much.

Ford press release said that the Panther Platform continue to at least 2011.
2012 and beyond
Ford had considered a new global rear wheel drive platform, which could replace both Panther and Australia's Falcon and Territory. However in January 2009 Ford announced such efforts have been canceled,[2] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Panther_platform#cite_not e-1) leaving Panther without a direct replacement. In recent years, Ford has introduced new full-sized sedans based on the Ford D3 platform (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_D3_platform) as retail models, while the Panther cars continue in production largely for fleet customers.
The Ford Interceptor (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Interceptor) concept (Ford D2C platform (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_D2C_platform)), debuted at NAIAS (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NAIAS) in 2007, was speculated to be a replacement for the Ford Crown Victoria, but nothing has been announced.
