Sub/Amp signal wire voltage?

how many volts should the oem signal wire output?

I used it in the past to start up my basslink - I put it back in and it wasn't working. I got out the multimeter and for whatever reason I'm only getting 8v.

Is this a 7-8v signal or shouldn't I be seeing 12v?

There are several fuses in the book for "Audio" and they all looked fine too...

The remote wire in our cars is only 8 volts, its not a full 12.

I ran into this issue when trying to get my aftermarket amp to turn on. I had to use a different ignition source.

I've used this before w/ the basslink, but now it's not working - I had pulled it from the trunk a while back and was just looking to reinstall. I think my basslink may be dead...I'll try to test it tomorrow w/ a 12v source to the signal input and see if that helps.
