This past Memorial weekend the S/W headers were installed. I would like to thank MMONK for his dedicated help. I would also like to add to the write up on header installation written on 4/14/04. Adding: #5 remove starter. #21 start the EGR intake manafold bolts & start the EGR nut on the header then tighten header bolts. I used Stang 8 locking bolts because the oem studs & nuts were rusted & I didn't want to worry about the header fasteners to back out. The installation took longer than Zacks record time but went well. The new found power is incredible. Krisp throttle & she keeps pulling. The only draw back is the db level is a bit to much under acceleration for an every day car, crussin speed sound is fine. I'am looking into resonators the Aero 25 or Vibrant Utra Quiet Resonators. The other option is a mid muffler after cats two in/out. Sure wish I could hear a set up before making the purchase.

I have kooks headers and I've had them for about 9-10 months :(

It's time to get the Kooks out of the closet.

Have you had your car dynoed yet?

I have not had it on the dyno. I plan on adding the resonators or mid mufler as well as a CIA before getting a tune. Then maybe a dyno for some numbers.

I was looking on the S/W page and found the headers for the Marauder, but I couldn't spot whether or not from looking at the pictures: are there pre-drilled locations for the O2 sensors on these or no?

The Stainless Works has O2 buns in the collectors for the front O2 sensors. If you order the Maucat System that bolts up to the oem exhaust system with no modifications. The lead pipes provided have O2 buns for the rear sensors .

I just installed my kit last week as well, my res-delete tips are even with the rear bumper, my drone issued went completely away, my failmaster mufflers scream when the gas is applied more than 1/4 throttle. I guess it was a complete success.

Awesome, thank you. I'm trying to tie in headers to the rest of my exhaust piping and at the moment have no cats with the rest of the exhaust unchanged to the mufflers, but I DEFINATELY want to keep the O2 sensors and keep them where they are so I can at least fake having a legal exhaust setup until I can maybe get some high-flow cats put in somewhere.

This setup is legal. I'm not sure what the black cables are for?
I see front O2 Bungs, but not rear

Anyone have the MAUCAT system installed with the rest of the system 100% FACTORY? This is what I want to do. Zach says this sounds great, but I do not want any drone.

Anyone got the above SW MAUCAT system with stock H pipe and factory exhaust right down to the tips?

Where is the link to the HOWTO for SW?

The wire's extend the factory wire's to meet the new possition for the o2 sensor's behind the cat.
You can do one or two things to help with noise. Use the spray or roll on truck bed liner under the car and or use dynamat under neath the interior rug's and seat's.

Once you install the headers/cats, your drone will go away, mine did at least, my tips are even with the rear cover.

I installed the Maucat sytem but it did not want to line up with the stock system. The stock system is 21/4 pipe and the SW system is 2 1/2 pipe so this was a concern. I spoke to sw and they stated to use high temp rtv to seal between the mid pipe and the stock system. Good luck. I installed the magnaflow X muffler and 2 more magnafow mufflers and stock tips and no drown and car sound very quit all the time. Russ

Got a picture? Seems wierd that Stainless Works obviously knows what a marauder has for factory exhaust and if MAUCAT is suppose to work with it then why isn't is 2.25?

I also had a Magnaflow stainless Muffled X pipe - good stuff - but why must I have to customize a system that's "made to bolt on" ??

That sounds like a question to ask Stainless Works.

The 1st installation of my Stainless Works Headers [Maucat] was bolted up to the OEM 2" pipes stock system unchanged all the way back with absolutly no problem made for a great fit. no drone. New gaskets made for a good seal. The only concern was earth shaking noise when I left my driveway, drove down the road, entered on ramps, passed traffic on the hwy ect. Since I have had installed a Magnaflow mid muffler 4x9 oval 2.25 in/out duel 14" body 20" overall length. The car is now quieter now than stock. I may replace the mid muffler for the 11" shoter body version. Still I'am very happy with the outcome of tq & hp gain not to mention I can still hear my stereo & hold a conversations any time.
