CLIFF NOTES:

A guy is building an 8 second Modular Street Beast.
Another guy asks how he is preventing spark blowout with so much psi.
OP says he upgraded the COP wiring to 14ga and has had ZERO Problems.

I would have never thought of that!

I wonder if he is still running that weird stock design plug? I've heard they finally got two aftermarket companies for them or you need to use the crushing tool they got out for forced induction setups.
BTW the reply = fail. Only the question again.

Hmmm, I was told by the guy that tuned my MM that the heavy guage COP wires were worthless.

I agree. There is no benefit other than a good signal to the COP. Spark blowout still has to be cured be either a stronger discharge or a closer gap.

Somewhat off subject but is it okay to put in NGK TR-6 Plugs in a N/A Marauder with a Lidio tune and JLT?

This got me thinkin...

More volts in = more volts out right? Why not use a 16V Jacobs accuvolt to the coils?! A 33% increase (above 12V) in input would make a roughly 25-30% increase in output voltage (after loss - heat).

Along with 14awg wires, there should never be blowout...

Don't think the OEM coils would like that long term Rich!!:shake:

Why not just find higher output coils and call it a day!!??

i am running weapon x coils and there is a difference to be felt at least I felt it albeit it may be also that my car is S/C but i did notice from before as compared to after a nice change and slightly worn rear tires.

Were the Weapon-X COPS plug and play or did you have to reverse polarity like Granatelli's??:argue:

plug and play they fit nice and tight and actually click onto the plugs just like wires. sorry for the delayed response as I am in iraq currently.
