Seeing I will be changing the coil covers soon I figure why not change the plugs at the same time.

Was wondering if it is worth getting the E3 Plugs or just stick with the Ford plugs?

Did the cooling system and tranny and rear end changes in fluid as well as flushed out the brake and power stearing fluid. And cleaned the injectors all at 30,000 miles.

And of course plenty of oil changes.

But never did the plugs yet.

E3's are garbage IMHO...

Go with either the stock plugs or NGK V Power plugs. I use the NGK TR6's which are one heat range colder than stock. You'll need the TR55's for the stock heat range.

BTW... I change my plugs once a year..... cheap insurance.

The plugs on the Marauder are wayyyyy easier then my f250 took me all of 45 minutes or so....do not over tighten them and do them after the car has a chance to cool and use air to blow out the plug holes before removal...the stock plugs from advance auto are iradium I paid 3.99 each.Don't waste your money on 7+ dollar plugs.

But thanks for making sure I am aware of it bob6364.
Not just a back yard guy here started working on cars with my Dad when I was 10 he built and raced Pro Stock cars.

Over the years have built up a lot of hours of schooling to keep up with the changes in the cars. Even though I am retired I still keep my ASE certifications just don't have a shop to work in anymore strickly outdoors in the back of the house.

But thanks as well fastblackmerc for the info I think I might stick with the stock one's from Ford as I have never had an issue with them and I don;t race at the tracks or anything just once in a while put some kid in his place on the road when it's safe to do so.

Yup...I do it mostly just to see what my old ones look like...pretty good way to keep track of what your motor is doing.

If you really want to get picky, get a digital camera, take a picture of all your old plugs when you pull them, make sure u label them and the next year do the same and the next year...so on...you can see what changes over time...This keeps me from having to save jars of old plugs in my garage and give me a real comparison out of the motor.

could say the same for $4 plugs... I pay less than $2 a plug for good ole copper and I make 500+whp

I am pretty nice to her and never had an issue with a single thing on the car what so ever so I have to admit that I am curious to see what the plugs look like once they are out.

Still don't even see the hint of smoke out the rear pipe's unless it is cold out and never had any carbon on the inside of them when polish the pipe's.

I never see smoke, but my tips seem to soot up very fast...yet my plugs are always spotless

Might be that something is running a bit out of spec's on the sensor end but not enough for it to set a code. I do check once a year to make sure all the sensors are reading the same as they did when I first got her and keep a running record of changes.

Well.... I won't use anything but oem or better if possible, what I chose was oem and that costs 3.99.

Why change when things are going well with the original I guess was just curious what others thought and felt seeing I hadn't experimented or changed them yet in the car.

Always good to hear the opinion of others that have done it in the past.

Thanks for the advice though:
